Comment:

Frackelton made this 100-level class harder than it's supposed to be. This class may be easier for those who already have a background in accounting. He expected us to read and teach ourselves the materials. If we were to understand everything going on in accounting so easily, we could just have purchased the textbook and read it on our own.

If you know how to teach yourself directly from a textbook youll do fine in this class. For the other 90% of us you will struggle in this class. He is however pretty funny in class which also sucks because he doesnt teach. Accepts late work and allowed us to do test corrections when the class average was a 62. Saves yourself the headache.

I took this class my first semester of college. As a business major, I was expecting to do well in this course. Not only is there A LOT of reading, it is close to impossible to get an A on any test. There are also only 2-3 exams, so if you fail one you can't get an A in the class. Struggled to earn a B- in the class after starting with a F.

He clearly expresses what he is looking for. You read outside of class and he will go over the chapter the next class. He is easy to reach outside of class and all around a very funny guy. He encourages you to ask questions and to see him during his office hours. He is very enthusiastic about his field of study. Definitely one of my favorite profs.

Professor is old-school when it comes to teaching. He tries to teach the material in a "learning by reading" format. He expects you to come to class with a full understanding of the next chapter that he assigned the class before. Because of this, I personally struggled in the beginning of the class, but eventually figured out his teaching style.

Frackleton is as straight forward as they come. Is hilarious in class and will call you out in a heartbeat. Is super knowledgeable, but makes you learn mostly from the textbook. You have to read and do the homework. If you are not good at teaching yourself I would not take accounting with him!

I took Frack for BUAD 131 and 132. If you can take good notes and study from a textbook you will do well in this class. He might try to punk you and call you on your cell phone in front of the class if you skip, but hes a good dude. People complain about him "not teaching" but everything you need is in the text if you put in the work

I had Frack for BUAD 131. He follows the textbook religiously and asks often who read it and who didn't. During class he usually goes over the material that was assigned for hw the class before. As far as learning the material, you pretty much teach yourself the class. Keep in mind that if you continue on to BUAD 132, you use the same book.

Frack is amazing! By far one of the best professors at UMW! He has a great personality and interesting stories to relate to class lessons. He is an experienced attorney and accountant and has a lot to offer. Read the textbook to pass exams!

Really smart man and you'll love his stories. You really need to study for his tests, paying attention in class won't guarantee a good grade and not everything is covered in class. The stories and examples he gives really helps you remember the material.

Really funny personality and overall a good guy. If you can teach yourself a class through a text book then I recommend him. He didn't make me feel welcomed when I went to his office hours and isn't the best at explaining how to do accounting.

Frackelton is a great guy, with great stories. But in his class he never really taught us. It was one of those do your homework, go over it, get assigned more homework type of classes. I taught myself the class with the textbook.

Read the textbook and youll do fine. All the information you need to know is in the textbook. Rarely see people taking notes in class. If you put in an average amount of work youll get at least a B. Has some good stories from his frat life to keep class awake.

Professor Frack is a good professor, but going to his class is really unnecessary. YOU DO NOT HAVE TO READ THE TEXTBOOK if you study the slideshows online. If you try to read the work is overbearing, but just review the slides before each class and you will do fine. If you need help he is always there to help you out.

Professor Frack is one of the top notch professors at UMW. He has real world experience as a attorney, and in accounting. He does everything he can do to help you succeed, and his tests are extremely fair if you put the work in. Awesome stories, great professor.

Awesome class b/c Frack taught it. Probably one of the funniest profs in the business department. Material was dry and at times confusing, but Frack tries to make it fun and entertaining in class with stories. exams are take-home.
