He was the rudest teacher I have ever had. He made students feel stupid when they asked questions and was so mean when people did not understand the topic. This should have been an easy class, but he made it very hard.

His personality gets in the way of his teaching. I would avoid him. The math questions on his test are generally fair if you are good at math. Some of the mult.choice are seriously stated in 1 sentence in the book. Write everything this man says down. The most minute details are the questions on his test which seperate the As from the Bs from ..,

I heard he was a bad teacher but he is not that bad at all. He is a straight shooter--tells you what he wants you to know. Everything in the test is from his notes, just modified a little. Doesnt really like people asking questions and doesnt seem approachable but if you pay attention in class, do his homeworks and are not stupid, its OK

Dr. Malone is an excellent professor. He clearly explains tough chemistry concepts to an easier to understand level. Tests all come from lecture. Don't ask unnecessary questions in class- he gets annoyed. And make sure you turn off your cell phone!

This man is BITTER. But he is an amazing teacher compared to some of the other professors. He basically tells you what will be on the exams. If you're willing to put in the work, you'll do fine.

The guy's an ass, but his lectures are very structured and clear. Tests are almost identical to the practice exams he hands out. If you're willing to do the homework and pay attention, the only problem with this class is the professor's personality.

On a positive note his notes are very organized and he gives LOTS of examples and he's not de la Rosa but he goes really fast and the tests are graded very hard. It's pretty much all or nothing so do the assigned problems and try tutoring but stick it out

Class wasn't impossible, but he's a terrible teacher. Can't ask him questions or he'll make fun of you in front of the class or yell at you in office hours. Tries to trick you on tests, and have to rush to finish in time. Try to avoid at all costs.

It could be that his head wasn't screwed on just right. It could be, perhaps, that his shoes were too tight. But I think that the most likely reason of all may have been that his heart was two sizes too small.

He makes this class very difficult, no doubt about it, and he is unapproachable. But if you have to take him, enjoy his organized notes and the fact that he works a LOT of problems in class. Grit your teeth, stay on top of the assigned practice problems, and you should be okay.

Unfortunately, he is the only professor for principles of chem I. He's a horrible man. You can't ask him questions, his tests are ridiculous, and it is hard to learn anything from him. Maybe the University will finally do something about this ass.
