Fair prof. Multiple choice is really hard and specific, lots of concepts to study for but the m/c questions are extremely concentrated and narrow. Basically, if you study a LOT but miss 10% of notes you risk your mark. However, bell curves to give u a significantly higher mark. Study everything and read the textbook

His lectures aren't very useful as he just reads off of his projected notes. His exams require you to not only understand the concepts but memorize specific details about various topics from the textbook in order to do well. Both textbooks are very useful, read every chapter. If you keep up with the readings you should pass his exams easily.

He wasnt the best professor but he wasnt the worset. The macro itself is hard and not easy to understand but if you READ READ the textbooks you will be okay. I got a 50% on my midterm but I READ really hard on the finals and with good grades on the three assignments. I passed, so just listen in class and read the textbooks

By far the most intimidating prof I've ever had. Spends more time yelling at you for not knowing things than he does teaching it to you. If you can switch out as soon as possible. Although his assignments are not bad, and you're allowed a cheat sheet for the midterm, 80% of the material needs to be self taught.

He's a great professor and gives you amazing insight into the current world of Economics outside of the classroom. His assignments were not just easy, they were extremely helpful by encouraging you to go through the material to better your own understanding. I would definitely take him again!

Leo's lectures are really worth going to, he likes to talk about what is happening in current events in the economy. I personally learned so much from him this semester. My favourite macroeconomics professor by far.

Leo is a good guy. The lectures are pretty interesting, he likes to talk about the material and relate it. 3 assignments were fair (5% each). Study and you will do well. I crammed for midterm and I regret it, got a C. If I put in a few extra hours an A or B was achievable. Did NOT like having to read two different textbooks, that was unnecessary.

His lectures are long and he tends to ask a lot of questions about what's going on with the Canadian economy - which kind of makes the class interesting. Tests are hard so you really need to understand the material. Be sure to read the chapters from the textbook! It's not an easy course.

His midterms are mostly theory related. If you don't understand the material, there is no way you can wing this class. 3 assignments worth 5% each will boost your grade if you do poorly on the midterm. Final was slightly easier than the midterm but still hard. Don't bother with the "practice" midterm or final cuz he only posts 1 or 2 q's from it.

His lectures aren't the most exciting, he does talk about real examples in the economy. He's helpful, posts practice tests online, posts solutions to textbook questions. His exam and midterm are straightforward and aren't too hard. You don't have to attend his lectures but it may help.

Great professor. Lectures are slow, but he speaks a lot about actual economy and his thoughts, which are very interesting if you have an interest in economics. You can really just read his slides and the textbook and you'll be okay. His midterms and finals are very fair.

I enjoyed his lectures. Uses a lot of real life examples which led to interesting discussions. However, he does jump around from topic to topic and skips half the powerpoint slides which is confusing. Overall, decent.

If you can take with another prof, do it! Very unclear when explaining. I would say go to the lectures but they don't even help. He wrote the textbook he uses so everything is explained the same confusing way.

Very intelligent prof. He has random outbursts at time which are quite funny. Anyways, to do well in this class you will NEED a textbook. Read it and re read it. Also do the questions at the back of each chapter it will help! Go to his lectures but not really necessary. He reads off his slides and the slide are NOT helpful so a textbook is a must!

Leo is great. His classes are very interesting, as he relates many of the topics to what is actually going on in Canada and abroad. Sparks lots of interesting discussions in class which helps the learning process. Also a big advocate of no free lunches.
