he's a good prof and the answers to his quiz/ tests are pretty much all in his notes. you just have to make sure you learn how he answers questions because he wants answers to be identical to his. if you pay attention and take notes you will be fine

TBH he is a good guy and give understandable lecture but seriously hard marker. Doesn't matter if you gave the right answer or give an visible effort, he won't care. You have to answer the way he wants you to answer. I do all his assignment, attend all his class, wrote notes but he still give me an F. You really have to put 100% effort with him.

Nice guy but boring lecture, the way he marks quiz and test are way too tough even though your answer is right and the way you explain it its understanderable but as long as it is NOT IN HIS WORDS then you'll get a sh itty mark. My friend copied an mathematic question from me on an assignment 100% copy and paste and i got 7/10 he 4/10 why?

10/10 great professor who clearly cares a lot about his students. I met with him a couple times out of class for help and he really listened and had excellent feedback. Hes not a tough grader or unfair it is just the content but if you meet with him for help it makes your life so much easier

Les is a great guy. His exams are based on responses to 6 essay questions on the topics covered in class. As long as you do the readings, you should be safe. He's also easy to access outside of class and responds to emails very quickly. Really nice and I found him really funny.

Very traditional prof. Lectures are dry and he reads directly off powerpoint slides. That being said, if you listen to what he expects for papers and do the readings you will be fine

Comment:
ECON2408 was super boring personally for me and to be honest Les is not the most exciting instructor either (read: quite boring). He gives out his lecture notes and if you study them you'll do well. He seems nice but definitely does not make the students interested in the subject. Take him if you already like Economics

Prof Marshall is solid guy. Tests might seem to be hard, but if you have good understanding of the material you will be getting decent grade. I like Marshall because he didn't give out homework that much and questions from exams are very straight forward.

Amazing prof! You can talk to him anytime if you have any difficulties or questions. Always ready to help you. Provides you with lecture notes for every class which is very helpful. If you listen carefully to his lectures then you don't even have to read the textbook, cause everything is on there. Exams and quizzes are fairly structured.

Marshall is a very boring teacher, he reads off his notes and is a tough grader. You basically have to read the textbook and know how to explain the concept in order to pass. Wouldn't take any classes with him again

Les is really nice to his students. He likes to joke around in the class. However, his lecture is too fast to follow if you have no experience with economics or any business course, you will be lost within 2 weeks. He expects students to read ahead and know their stuff before any lecture. He is a hard marker and demand a lot of explanations.

MICRO ECON He helps you if you just ask for it. He is a little picky in marks but possible to get an A (specially on Econ - Anything over B+ is amazing). Must put work in order to get results.

Let me get this clear. I'm taking a couple 3rd and 4th year courses and I need to study more on this course than the rest. The textbook is useless, even though Leslie said that it'll help. His notes were clear, however his marking in the exam and homework is very hard. In terms of studying, the ratio is 5:1 for each course that I'm taking.

Great teacher! Notes are super helpful and clear. He's a pretty tough marker and he assigns really long reports for his assignments. Exams are 6-7 essay questions and if you only read his notes, you'll pass, however, in order to do well on his exams, you need to do the readings. He's really funny and easygoing, just don't talk or text.

Explain the hard econ concepts in a easy way. Really good at teaching he is. However, a little bit hard marker he is but not a real hard marker so it is recommended for guys who need to take a econ class to take his course.

Les really knows his stuff. He asks essay questions on exams and you should score well if you use examples from the notes. Only difficult part was no textbook which can be a good thing since you don't have to buy one but the assigned readings are in depth. He is a very fair marker though.

Comment:
Okay intro course, but its easier if you have background knowledge on macro/micro econ. No textbook, but assigns at least 20 pages of articles that must be read if you want to get an A. Only asks essay questions on tests and looks to see if you used examples from assigned readings. Really helpful if you have specific questions to be answered.
