Awful, just awful. Completely regret taking this class. He ignores emails and is very intimidating. No clear expectations on tests, and marks them ridiculously hard.

Was a horrible class, I didn't learn much, and he marked my exam without any explanation. He is difficult to talk to, and doesn't make much sense. He is rude in emails, and has a Very hard time explaining material and expectations. I regret taking his class.

Nice guy, however hard marker and very unapproachable. I would not recommend taking a class from him.

Took Soc 212 with him. Bought both texts but did not need them. 1 final, 1 midterm, no essay. Extremely easy marker on both. However, unapproachable. I asked to meet him outside class time to review my exam and he would not allow it, as he didn't want "too many students asking for this". Got 88 in class.

Do not take this class! Or sociology in general, unless you want to be unemployed or a correctional worker, aka guard!! Very boring class, please retire, stop selling false hope and taking innocent students money, what a scam!

Les made the class breakfast every class(friday seminar). Based class on terrorism. Ranted lots. Grades extremely difficult. Will love you if you are in the army. Enjoyed the class because it was ridiculous and he showed lots of youtube clips. Grade will improve if you go to him for help; very approachable.

I had this prof for 2 classes, both were fine. funny stories, exaggerates a lot, but who doesn't. Marks subjectively in seminar. Overall my most enjoyable soc classes, considering Soc was dreadful, so thanks for making me laugh.

Supposed to be a class on current issues in criminal justice, he changed it entirely to terrorism past&present. Printed his notes word for word from textbook. Poor marking on midterm. Bragged far too often about his vast knowledge of terrorism while telling us we don't know anything..isn't it his job to teach us?

This class was a giant disappointment. I love Sociology, but I feel like I learned next to nothing in this class. He spent most of the time rambling on about topics that had nothing to do with course material, and insisted on handing out his own notes, which are confusing and poorly put together. He's not a bad guy, but this class is terrible

If you enjoy reading nonsensical notes and being pissed off this is a good class to take. Most of your in-class time will be spent listening to Les going on tangential rants that have little or no relevance to the actual material. Les also refuses to respond to emails from students seeking help. This class turned out to be a huge disappointment.

This prof is very hard to follow and his notes make little to no sense (pages of jot notes written in his own thoughts). The lectures are horrible but he asks questions that are not in the notes so you have to go. It's an easy 70-80% but you have to put in time to get over a 90. Not the greatest choice if you are looking for an easy mark booster.

Worst professor I ever had in my life! Mumbles on and on about nothing and his notes jump around and make no sense at all. Basically spends the whole class swearing and telling long winded tories about how he hates Christians, how his family is "messed up", and how he used to be in jail and in a biker gang. Refuses to help students with anything.

The first thing he told us about the class was that he was not supposed to be teaching it and he made it clear numerous times that he did not want to be there! He is very hard to understand between his mumbling and low volume, the only things I would ever seem to understand had nothing to do with the class. It's an easy mark but painful to attend

Not the worst prof I have ever had. Tells you to read the text but only uses his notes on exams. Grade is calculated by 2- 50 multiple choice question exams, a midterm & a final. Lots of videos and news articles. Lots of foul language. Just go to class and study his notes and articles and you should do fine.

Kinda a nut job...notes are HORRID. Think of the worst notes you have ever seen and times by 5. 50% 50 question midterm and final. Questions are stats based, badly worded, but if you study you will do fine. He does have lots of handouts and movies. Overall, not too bad but frustrating as he can't string a sentence together-Tangent King!

An incredibly lazy prof who has just printed off the same notes for years, and expects you to memorize everything so he can ask irrelevent questions on midterms and finals. I will say there were a lot of videos and a few quest speakers, and at times the class was interesting, but overall it was a major disappointment.

His lectures can be a bit confusing and take awhile to get use to. Tells us to print lecture notes but then brings some to class. If you read the lecture notes word for word and textbook, you will do fine in the class. Overall, easy class and worth taking.
