Comment:

Although English 110 at FH college is not a valuable course, Lesley is a kind and caring person. She is approachable and can help you with many of your problems In general, not hard to get an A but make sure you do what she asks on HW assignments and also check your major out-class essays with her before submission (She is kind of tough on them)

Lesley is by far the best English teacher I've had. She makes a true effort to get to know her students and help anyone who may be struggling with course material. The short stories that we read and discussed were always interesting as well as the topics of our essays so writing became enjoyable. I highly recommend Lesley for ENG110!

Lesley is a phenomenal teacher. She's hilarious and genuinely cares about her students. She has a wonderful personality and sense of humor. By far she's been one of my favorite english teachers and it's hard to leave the class. She gives great feedback and is extremely helpful. She is such a caring person with such a huge heart. Would take again.

She has been one of the best english/ grammar teachers I've ever had. A key to doing well in this class is just staying on top of your assignments and visiting her in the TLC. She works 2 days a week in the TLC and is always willing to help you flesh out your content and talk you through ideas. You won't regret taking this class.

I loved Lesley as a teacher. Such a fun character and an amazing teacher. My writing was drastically improved due to having her class. I would take her again, she's soft spoken but not shy. Honestly one of my favorite teachers I've ever had. She has amazing taste as well, in literature, music, etc, you name it. 10/10

Lesley is a sweetheart. She really cares about her students. She is able to laugh about herself, and I enjoyed every minute of her lecture. Just do the assignments, show up, and you'll do very well. Additionally, she works in the TLC, so if you ever have a question, go there and ask. The quizzes are a piece of cake.

SHE'S A NICE LADY BUT HER CLASS TENDS TO BE BORING. SHE DOESN'T LET ANYONE ELSE SPEAK SO IT'S AWFULLY QUIET IN THE CLASSROOM. HER ESSAYS ARE STRAIGHT FORWARD AND IT'S EITHER HER WAY OR NO WAY.

This was my absolute favorite class at foothill. Even if it isn't required for you I highly recommend taking Creative Writing, especially with Lesley Dauer. If you're reading this Professor, please offer Creative Writing as an online degree! I would love to take more creating writing classes online from you. I am now a more creative, better writer.

Best english teacher I have had yet. Reasonable and easy essays in my opinion. She is always willing to help with an enthusiastic and positive attitude. Also, the woman is hilarious if you ask me. Her humor was one of my favorite things about her teaching style. Point of view and passion was intriguing as well. I recommend taking her class.

Very nice lady, but an extremely hard grader. More into grammatical errors then learning about writing skills. What I mean by this is that, she knocks down your grade with every grammar error rather then the progress of your writing skills of critical thinking. The B received was with major work. More like an English 1A class than 110

incredibly wonderful as a person! Total sweetheart, although her kindness isn't direct towards grading papers. My writing did improve a lot, but in a sense I had to dumb down a lot of stuff. make sure to sound natural and if you use vocab. then you better use it wisely! Extremely helpful. I would've gotten an A if i didn't do bad on my first paper.

I had to dumb down my writing times ten for her to give me a good grade. She likes clear, short, and witty some stuff that sounds NATURAL. Do not use big words, she'll fail you. she is however the most helpful, nice, friendly, and approachable. The workload is very little. She does grade hard. Minor grammar errors and you'll get a B. Not an easy A.

Lesley is by far the best teacher I've had at Foothill. Not only is she understanding of the need for flexibility that an online education poses, but she also provides honest, thoughtful feedback for every poem you submit. Comment:

Lesley was a great teacher who cared about her students. She often let us out early so the students who couldn't make her office hours could get some one on one time with her. The class was fairly easy with minimal homework. Her biggest downside was that she didn't show up to class like 4 times during the quarter so at the end we were rushed.
