If you want an interesting class, don't take her. She reads from slides straight from the book. However, I missed a class at least every other week (with only 2 classes/week), didn't hand in some of the short papers, had a lousy test average, and still managed to get an A, so it's not a total loss. She gives you plenty of room to get a good grade.

To set the record straight: Getting an A in class is way too easy! Her lectures can get VERY boring at times bc of lack of class participation, but it was a huge lecture, so that was hard to do. Attendance counts as participation, (when she takes it)straightforward tests, easy 1 page reaction papers to videos. Great lady, always willing to help!

One word: boring. Class is 100% textbook. You have to choose between paying attention in class and reading. The notes in class are all thats necessary for the tests, but its quite easy to lose interest and zone out during her lecture. but a quick scan of each chapter review is helpful. With decent notes it'll get you in the mid 80s on tests.

Liked her a lot. Doesn't really teach. Lectures from the book's powerpoint, and tests are book tests. Read and study the book, and you'll be fine. 5 tests, 50 questions mult choice. She drops one. No midterm, last chap test is the final. Towards the middle/end of the semester, offers easy extra credit and attendence points. I'd take again.

She has a passion for what she teaches, but her method of teaching is poor. She uses Powerpoint presentations all the time, and they're hard to learn from because they lose your interest quickly. If you do not read the textbook, you'll probably fail. Don't put off reading until the last minute because you won't learn 100 pages in 1 night. Read!

dr. burton is my favorite teacher! She is so interesting and has great examples with patients. this class is not just about patients, but more about science, but I still really like it! She is always happy to talk after class, and is very nice if you visit her in her office. Tests are pretty hard.

the test questions are based solely on the chapters. if you don't read, you're dead. the material isn't inherently hard, it's the amount of material on each exam that will screw you. not an easy A, i wouldn't recommend taking her.

Everything she says in class is in the textbook...but she does randomly take attendance. You literally need to memorize the textbook to do well on the test. There is no way around it you need to read the book. Even if you do, an A is difficult to get. Seems nice, doesn't ask ANY questions to the class, purely lecture.

I've never stayed awake through more than 15 minutes of her class, which are pointless to attend, except that she randomly takes attendance about 6 times a semester. Tests are insanely difficult - you have to memorize about 80 pages of info to pass. She doesn't give any other grades to bring your (probably horrible) test average up. Don't take her.

the only good thing i can think of this class is no homeworks and papers. 5 exams, drop the lowest one. The hardest class i have ever taken. Exams are very hard. you gotta memorize the textbook THOROUGHLY to juz gt a B+. A is almost impossible.

shes really nice, class is very boring and you never have to go to class. Quizzes are very difficult and staright outta the book. Make an effort to suck up and you will be ok. Weekly quiizzes are a pain, take an easier teacher.
