While she was a pretty tough grader and did assign a TON of readings, Leslie was very passionate about the subject matter which helped with my interest. She was quite strict in class and had a few out of class field trips.

Never have I had the displeasure of meeting a professor so arrogant, condescending, presumptuous, self-important, and insecure. Avoid at all costs if you value your sanity and self-worth.

Her lectures are not interesting or relevant. Her assignments are even worse. She is the most difficult marker I have come across in my years at York. I would not recommend her classes to anyone. Her expextations are astronomical! This is the worst class that I have ever taken which is mainly due to this prof. Save youself from academic trauma!

The guidelines for projects were vague. The TAs had no idea what she was trying to convey. The grading system was very inconsistent. The best thing about the class was learning about different types of avant guarde art in all forms. But sadly the Fine Arts Cultural Studies degree has zero relevance or application in the real world.

What a privilege! One of THE BEST PROFESSORS I've ever had. The content of her class was so rich, so engaging, so relevant. In fact, she was so brilliant, that she managed to remember the names of hundreds of students! Those that complained of her class weren't willing to stretch either themselves or their work ethic. She was and is EPIC!

Even now, 6 years I often think about that one class I took with prof. Korrick and the profound impact it had ony my life. She was extremely knowledgeable, she challenged us to think and engage, and her enthusiasm was contagious. She is a wonderful professor and I wish more of my university experiences had been like her class.

Amazing professor - my favourite in all my years at York. Her vast and detailed knowledge of the subject matter along with her ability to impart it were inspirational. I learned SO much. I wish she had taught all my classes!

She is very ethusiastic and tries very hard to make dry material interesting. Tolerated a lot, too much. Tried to give us easy marks but the assignment/test requirements were ridiculous. If you have to take FACS 1900 as a mandatory course, at least try to get it with her to make it a little tolerable.

She's fair. She gave us many extentions on essays and projects, she put up with a lot of nasty crap from students and never freaked out about it but laughed at it herself...so I really do admire her for that. I remember 90% of what was taught in lectures. FACS 1900 sucks but since you must take it take it with prof. Korrick.

Korrick is an ok professor. She tried hard to make the lectures engaging and interesting. It was hard at times because people were loud, talking, laughing at her... Facs 1900, however, is the most painful and boring class you will ever have to take.

she talks too fast it's really hard to write down what she is saying and to take notes. assignment 2 was unneccessarily hard! everybody was confused even though she tried to explain what she wanted us to do. and i am getting sick of this "interdisciplinarity" concept alltogether. this course is too hard for no reason.

there are a few things that I like about her teaching method: 1. She goes over every lecture at the beginning of the next class (kudos!) 2. The exam was really fair (no surprises, lots of choices!) 3. She gave us an extention for the 2nd assignment (again, kudos!). What I Do not like is just how formal and uninteresting FACS 1900 is in general.

ughhht! I hate thisss course!!!!! Prof. Korrick is expecting way too much! Give us a break! We all know she's trying to be extra tough on us, 1st year students, but come on! The course content is just plain boring and pretentious. Impossible to get a good mark, it seems like they want you to fail. There is no motivation, nothing...just strictness.
