Lillian was a great Prof. She's witty and made chemistry fun to learn. She was always there to answer questions and explained it in more than one way. She is the most lenient teacher i've ever had. It's a shame that she is retiring!

Lillian is a hard one to figure out. One minute she's the funny nutty professor, and the next she's frowning at you for not understanding a concept. Show interest in class (whether genuine or not) and ask questions, and you'll get on her good side. Show her you CAN do good, and she'll try to help you out later on. Tests cover EVERYTHING.

Thank the heavens that this woman is retiring before you might ever have to have her. She is a mean, old woman. I watch her mark assignments in my lab class and she actually puts people down to the lab tech for not knowing their stuff. Makes you wonder what she says about you behind your back. AVOID.

Overall, I really enjoyed Chemistry with Lillian. Her notes make logical sense. She answers any questions you may have. She gives assignments that are very useful for the final exam.

She is very stuck on her way of teaching. If you don't understand, that's just too bad. When you do ask for help all she does is reword the question, will not help you figure it out. Often puts stuff on her test that hasn't been covered. Also hard to read her writing (VERY SLOPPY), often skips or writes words twice instead of the word meant.

Lillian's teaching takes a bit of getting used to. It took me until the first test to realize what it was that she was expecting us to know. Her tests are difficult but she assigns homework to offset the weighting. She's very helpful when you ask for help, but make sure that you ask.

Stay away from her class. Very boring class, hard to stay awake in. Might as well teach yourself the material cause all she does is compare graphs and gives****ty notes. If you go back on your notes, it doesnt make sense at all. Very sloppy writting so taking notes is a strain along with trying to pay attention.

At first she seemed like a bad teacher, but once i got used to her teaching style, it was awesome. She really knows her stuff, and she's always open to comments and never puts them down. For students that like chemistry, i really recommend her.

she is really a bad teacher. at first she seemed approachable but now i just want to avoid her. the best thing is to read the textbook. her notes dont help. the one good thing is the test are fair. if u read the text and do the q's then you'll prolly do okay. dont rely on her notes. avoid her if u can!

IMO it would be easier to just learn from a textbook than her; with Choy, he at least showed some interest in teaching the subject rather than tossing up slides that were written twenty years ago.

Awful. boring. one time i just looked at the clock, yawned and slept the whole class. There were classes I didn't learn anything - just copied her dumb notes and nothing went into my brain. I'm going to try to avoid any of her classes in the future. She sucks at explaining.

At first I hated how tedious the class was. I hated how critical the marking was. However, I finally see the benefits of her teaching style. I can truthfully say that I have gained a lot from this prof which has better prepared me for other chem classes.

How come there's no "Way not hot" button? Heer lectures are so dry, and she only copies the stuff from the text. Extremely (overly) picky about lab technique, and sig figs. If they ever offer a different instuctor for this class, get him in
