Such a gem especially in the French Dept at SFU. Clear, understanding, knowledgeable, approachable, NOT overbearing and teaches really well. I have learned TONS from her and she makes it fun! Amazing assignments -- you get to do a slam poem and have a radio talk show broadcasted among other things. Your French will improve.

Overall, I thought Linda was a good prof. She is always available for help and gives detailed answers to the questions you ask. One thing I really liked about her was that she gave people time in class to work on their assignments and ask her questions in case they couldn't come to her office hours. However, I found her to be a bit of a hard marker

Extremely unreasonable prof. She assigns enough work for three courses, and gives unreasonable and unrealistic amounts of time to get everything done. The work itself is not overly difficult, but she just assigns erroneous amounts of it. It's as if she thinks this is only class you're taking. If you have a job and/or other homework, good luck.

One of the best French profs I had at the SFU French department. I learned and improved after being in her class. Her lessons are amazing, and are very straight-forward and easy to understand. She's very open to her students. I love her!

By far one of the best teachers I've had, gives good feedback and is exceptionally understanding. Barley any homework, no tests, however the assignments in class are very helpful and interesting. Most of the class is weighted with group projects, choose wisely to bring your grade up!

Best French prof I've had, in that I have learnt the most with her. She is a straight up kind of lady, takes no BS, but she is kind and you will improve. Be ready to participate and complete your homework. I had her for 222 and 215 this semester and I'm not sick of her. Smart, knows what's she's doing. The classes take a bit of work, but manageable

Linda is a great professor! She is helpful, clear, and fun! French grammar isn't everybody's thing but she at least tries (and I would say succeeds at) making it approachable! She is a fair marker and responds well to students' questions. Great professor!

Linda is amazing. She is the hardest marker ever, but amazing. If you work hard, you will do well. She hates laziness, so don't take the course if you are not willing to give 110%! She knows grammar like the back of her hand and is always cheerful and willing to help! A+ Linda!

Translation course. 1) she is very arbitrary and not open to different correct & possible answers; 2) she has no respect for other teachers and students - letting students out 10 mins late every class is unacceptable; 3) it seems to be against her morals to give anything higher than A-; 4) she is most definitely bias towards suck-ups; 5) oblivious.

This course was absolutely amazing. It is an oral course but it still has some grammar. Linda is great and creates an awesome atmosphere in the classroom; you will make new friends. I found the course easy receiving a B+ with minimal effort.

I took FRENCH with Linda last year. The class was interesting and Linda is kind and generous prof. But if you do not have no FRENCH background do not take this course and mark booster!
