i went to her for help twice a week and still did horribly on the assignments and tests. i got an A in theory last semester with a different teacher, and came close to failing this semester with gilette. i coudln't understand the way she taught, and when i tried to get help, it didn't help AT ALL.

In my opinion, the best theory teacher on campus, and I've had quite an array of them. She teaches well and makes sure you've understood the material. Tests and homeworks are fair, not just busy work. I love her classes.

probably the best written theory teacher i've run into. its always nice when they can have a sense of humor. class isnt an easy a, but most music classes aren't, so she's probably your best bet.

She is fair & generally friendly, but very strict. Her class is pretty challenging, but definitely possible to do well in. There is quite a bit of work outside of class but it's not bad. I would recommend L.Gillette.
