Not sure if people on this website is a prank or not, but this was literally hardest marking class I've ever had the misfortune to be apart of. This was an introduction History course, and the short or long questions on exams, are SO specific that it's mark down to decimals. Essays require 8 sources, presented 11 and was apparently not enough.

Lectures a set-up as if they were a story, memorization of dates and names are not necessary. She is on time, if you're late to class she understands things happen. Shouldn't miss class too much because midterm and exam is lecture and text book based.

Linda truly cares about her students, and uses this course to teach foundations and how to do well in future courses. She wants her students to understand the material, but also think critically about it and form an opinion. Lectures are long without a powerpoint, but mostly outside the textbook. She is full of knowledge.

Linda is very passionate about Canadian affairs and is extremely knowledgeable about the material she teaches. She's a great instructor and cares a lot about her students. If you do all of the readings, take good notes in class, engage with the material covered, you will do fine. She is a fair marker. Don't slack off and do all the question sheets!

Linda is a wonderful prof. She is very knowlegable, and knows her stuff and really cares about what she is teaching about. Very informative and really learned a lot. Her lectures can be boring, I wished she used more visuals then just talking, only pitfall I find with her.

Ms. Hale is super sweet and you can tell she wants everyone to do well if possible. Notes are very dense and presented ONLY in class - no online powerpoints. Weekly or biweekly seminar on textbook readings. Large body of knowledge on Canadian history, brings up interesting little-known topics. Good first year history class.

Very knowledgable professor. She walks students through writing a paper very well and prepares them for future classes too. She lectures alot and fast but she wants her students to understand trends and topics as opposed to detail. Very kind and understanding. I highly recommend Linda.

Linda Hale is one of the best teachers in Langara. She is very considerate about her students and understanding about the extent of work in other courses. She extended the deadline for her essay because many students had another essay due within the same time period. I will be definitely taking another course with Linda Hale.

Linda is such a sweet teacher. Her lectures are one hour long followed by a small group discussion of a reading and then class discussion. A fair marker. One thing is it's sometimes hard to follow her lectures because she goes through them at a quick pace and you sometimes forget what you were writing to write the next point. Overall awesome!

Linda cares for her students, but she gives grades based on whether you agree with her. I was disappointed with the course, because in total we received 6 weeks instruction, and the rest of the time we had presenters and presentations. I have 9 pages of notes defining 'family'. Don't take this course if it's an elective! More trouble than its worth

Linda is not receptive to differing opinions. She does not want you to express your opinions or interpretations on the subjects she merely wants you to find creative and new ways to express her opinion. There were numerous times she spouted blatantly false propaganda to the class. I got an A by selling out and giving her what she wanted, drivel.
