This class is wonderful and I feel I learned valuable information from it. I recommend keeping up with the required readings because they will help you when it comes to writing your papers. Also, be ready to write lots of papers because you have 1 sometimes 2 due a week. Also, don't wait until the last minute to start her final exam paper

Dr. Pitelka is pretty good. Moves fast but is always open to questions and discussions. I found her tests and papers pretty easy. If you show up, listen, and skim the book, you'll be fine.

I've taken two of her classes and she is one of the best prof. I've ever had! There were a lot of readings and she did go fast in class, but she was really accessible outside of class and extremely helpful if you go to her office hour. Not an easy A, but if you put in effort, not impossible either.

She goes through ppt really fast. Lots of reading, but very understanding about papers and tests. If you ask as a class to have the test or paper pushed back, she will do it. Homework has a due date but she doesn't care when you turn it in as long as it's in by the final day of class.

Hist since 1877 to Now. 2tests(midterm and final). 3movie critiques (one-paged length). Two books(two papers). No other homework. A huge fan of powerpoint. She does it fast so you better have a skill to keep a good pace with her. For this, attendance is highly recommended. (no ppt on the D2L) Reading textbook helps a lot. It's an ok level class.

I've always enjoyed history because it is relevant to the present. If you show up to class you'll do fine. Be on the look out for some reading and some writing depending on the class you take. Very enjoyable lecturer and she is also inspiring.

I'm asian, and thought of her history class as the "white people suck" hour. Lots of political bias and unnecessary tangents on historically irrelevant current-day issues. She's limited to presenting a leftist view of history. An excellent instructor who is willing to listen and assist.
