Linda was a great professor. She was always willing to help her students. If you know what you are doing and get ahead in the work you have the option to leave early but you can also stay and she will help you with anything. She gives quizzes often but you can use notes so highly suggest you take good notes.

Mrs. Rzoska was very helpful but the information was a bit much and I had a hard time comprehending it all. The other students who were younger caught on real fast and seemed to sail through. I found her always willing to work with me and very supportive. I enjoyed her class and am taking another with her this coming semester.

Comment:

Rzoska is a very nice woman but despite being a teacher of Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign, she seems very inexperienced with computers and how to use the programs. Most of the time in class is watching a powerpoint cover the same things you not only covered in the previous week, but covered in high school basic art classes.

I liked the subject going in, but she just didn't teach me very much and I am a student who works very hard. She had 3 hours to teach, but everyday most of it was used to show us a slide show. She was very unclear when it came to what she expected on assignments. I wouldn't take her again even though I had an A.

She expects a lot from her students, and anymore students aren't used to thinking for themselves. You get out of the class what you put into it. I miss the chance to continue taking her classes. The people posting here wanted an easy A and are bitter it didn't happen. The happy ones are off working and don't have time to post here.

If you get on her good side and suck up a lot, she can be tolerable, otherwise, she is just plain rude and a constant headache. If you have a basic understanding of design, you'll survive, just keep your mouth shut. If your a newbie, pray for yourself, shes your typical fine art teacher teaching graphic design. I would avoid her like the plague!

Linda expects a lot out of her students, but it's most definitely for their benefit. She's incredibly talented and knowledgeable (in both graphic design and fine art) and you would be lucky to take a course with her. She's incredibly helpful, so make sure you work your ass off and get the most out of her courses.

ART101 in the digital world. Linda stresses the design basics such as rhythm, line, focal point, etc. She is extremely tough and offers no insight into her experience in the graphic design field. Her interests lie with fine art only, so GRD students beware. This class will certainly break you. Most of my class have taken this course over 2-3 times.

Comment:

Linda is one of the few instructors at KVCC who genuinely tries help her students do well. Her classes generally involve ridiculous amounts of work, but I would consider this to be a good thing. Unfortunately, she does tend to be a bit strict, and will downgrade assignments even if it's done well just because it doesn't quite fit the guidelines.

she tries to get you to make a drawing the way she would have done it instead of your own way. i draw in a surreal style and she favors a more classic and traditional style and she tends to favor students that draw in that style. very nice lady and helpful but she has a rediculously strict attendence policy for an art class.
