Comment:

Professor Steet is by far the worst professor in New York State. She refuses to help people unless they go to office hours. If you have class during her hours she will not accommodate with you nor answer emails. The class is based off two open notes exams and a final project. The open notes do not help considering her questions are really specific.

Where to start with this professor? The class I took with her had 3 assignments that she graded you on, a midterm, a final, and a final project. The final project is a toss up, since she never gives any clear instructions and is unresponsive to any questions one might have. Don't take this class if you're a guy, she's extremely biased against men.

Steet's class runs entirely on the textbook. Lectures consist of her repeating the textbook readings 80% of the time. The textbook is boring and not well-written. Steet is very intimidating but she appreciates anyone who participates intelligently, but despises those who ask repeated questions or fail to word an answer perfectly. Try to avoid.

If you have a class during her only office hours, youre screwed. Also if you get sick or hurt or have to miss basically more than one class, youre also screwed. She is mean, and selfish, and doesnt help her students at all. You have 3 grades: two exams and a project. Tests are unbelievably difficult. As is the project.

The class itself is uninteresting; unfortunately, she does not make it any more bearable. Although she can be nice at times, you'll probably see her roll her eyes and call out students in class. You have to read! The project you do is tedious and long. As an education major, this class is a hoop you have to jump through, so you have to bear it.

At least, I can say; Please DO NOT TAKE HER CLASS. She extremly favors students. She always blames students when they dont understand her lecture. Its not my fault mamm. If you cant take any intd 203 exclude her classes but can take intd 203 next semester, just wait until next semester to take another profs class. I highly recommend it.

Steet is one of those professors you have to suck up to and just get through the class. It is boring, literally everything you learn is straight from the textbook. If you're on her 'good side,' you should be fine. Do the reading and pay attention and it's not as bad as others say. Would get annoyed if you asked something someone previously asked.

Honestly, Steet can be a bit quirky, but overall her lectures are very interesting. The class itself was enjoyable although your grade is only based on two tests and a major project. Study hard for the tests and DO NOT leave the project until last minute. If you do everything she asks of you and participate in class/show up, you will do fine.

To put into perspective how unclear this professor is: currently I am discussing the final essay with my peers and no one in the class knows if it is due tomorrow or a week from now. She has given us a different answer every time we have asked.

Try not to take this class with Steet. She assigns required readings every day and that is how you learn the material for the two tests. She does not teach the material to you she just reiterates it. She is very rude to students so try not to get on her bad side. The final project is rough because it's hard to tell exactly what she wants from you.

Your entire grade is based off of two tests and a research paper. She has very strong opinions and it's difficult to get her to see your side. She assigns textbook readings daily, although I only read about half the time and I still did fine, because her tests are focused on what she thinks is important, which she discusses in class.

Dr. Steet does not teach. You are expected to read the textbook and learn the material on your own. If she asks you a question and you don't know the answer, she rolls her eyes to your face. During the final project, she is extremely judgmental of students that are not great with technology. She does not like to repeat herself. She is rude.

Professor Steet is the least empathetic professor you will find at SUNY Geneseo. Not only does she assign a final project that is worth most of your grade, she will not provide you with any clear rubric for it. You could read the textbook front to back and memorize it and any answer you give will still be incorrect. Honestly one of the meanest.

Steet knows her course material very well. Otherwise, she appears very scatter -brained during discussions. She's inappropriately rude and brash towards students, for example, she rolls her eyes and scoffs during class. Don't try asking for any sort of extension or favor. If you care about accessibility and/or empathy in a professor, avoid her.

Dr. Steet is my favorite professor on campus. She is always there to help and really cares about what students do. I hope to take more classes with her. She is so accommodating and funny.

The undisputed champ of worst professors at Geneseo, or maybe any college. Extremely rude, rolled her eyes during final projects. Makes snide remarks about everything any student says, unless its verbatim what she says. Two tests, that are designed solely to trick, not evaluate knowledge, and one final project with no rubric. Avoid at all costs

Avoid this class .... just ..... avoid this class. She is an extremely difficult grader and always expects more on written tests even if you are typing non-stop for the entire given time. She also is very touchy about certain subjects and you can accidentally set her off at any time. Beware. and once again, AVOID.
