Comment:

He crosses boundaries he shouldn't cross with anyone and it comes off as very disrespectful, rude, and arrogant. His criteria for the lab reports you learn as you go, as his word files and explanations are not clear. Dealing with him and some of these teachers, makes me always wish I went to another school. My old school was much better.

He puts in a lot of time to his work and expects his students to do the same. He's a great prof though, I implore you to pay attention in his class, it will pay dividends. Will gladly spend his time on someone who wants to succeed. Any type of slacking is not tolerated.

It seems he has made it his mission to make sure as few people pass his classes as possible. He purposely curves all marks downwards so anything about a 70 is impossible to achieve. Is rude and disrespectful to everyone, if you as him for help, he will berate you for not understanding and not actually give you any assistance. Just a bitter man.

Has zero respect for his students. Arrogant/rude to the point of being comical. Truth be told, makes you truly work and understand to succeed. Won't hesitate to fail students who try floating by. Every Engineering department needs a professor like this, just hopefully without his demeanor. DO NOT TAKE HIS CLASSES UNLESS YOU HAVE TO.

He was my course instructor and project supervisor. I found him extremely arrogant and disrespectful. I did not find him very supportive and knowledgeable and wholeheartedly discourage students to choose him as their project supervisor. I genuinely believe that he is bitterly demanding and tough and wants students to work the whole day in the lab.

Class notes were done in powerpoint - could have been better but at least we were able to use them during in-class assignments, the midterm and the final. If you have trouble go to see him but don't show up emptyhanded and expect him to solve your problem for you - he'll tear you a new one. overall a very fair marker - got perfect on the final :)

Very smart man! The class was quite tough in the sense that he made you work your ass off to get a good grade. He is very approachable, you just have to ask for his help. There was no exam but a final project. It was worth 40% and took forever to do but I feel that i've learned something in the class unlike a lot of classes i've taken.

Thank to Dr. Lionel Catalan. I learned Environmental Chemistry from him. He is very helpful. Whenever you find problem, go to him he will help. But this is a tough subject. You'll not understand this very clearly. You have to keep going to him to understand this. I did that. I really learned the subject. I am really greatful to him. Thanks.
