Mrs. Beene is the sweetest person ever! If you have the chance to take her class I say absolutely, do it. As long as you pay attention during the lectures you will make a good grade. Do the study guides and make note when she says something will be on the test because it will be. She also gives good extra credit at the end of the semester.

Mrs. Beene is one of the best teachers I've ever had. I had hardly any interest in Sociology going in, but she made it relevant, interesting, and entertaining. The classroom discussions are relevant to the topic and make you think. However, lectures go into more detail than the test. Know the details of study guides, and you will ace the tests.

I had Lisa for a few classes in the late 80's for my Social Work minor and I think I took a class in for my counseling M.S. under her. She was a fantastic teacher and an exceptional person. I benefitted from her classes probaby more than from any other teacher. Top notch professor and professional.
