this class was so boring. she's a very friendly person but her class is boring. i made it to less than 50% of her classes and i still got high 60s on all my papers. even tho i wasn't there much, she somehow still knew me by first name basis, it was weird. she does it to all her students.. i'd probably take her again but it's really boring...

Lisa really challenged me to see that racism is embedded in social systems. This realization was pivotal to my life journey and really contexualizes the struggles of myself and my family in mainstream, **** SK society.

Overall, a pretty good class. Lisa is very passionate about the topics, but needs to explain things in a clearer manner. In class it often seemed like she was defending her dissertation instead of teaching objectively.

Lisa might know the subject matter well but she does not know how to present it effectively. She relies on class discussion but does nothing to motivate students to share their thoughts/experiences. Very boring, repetitive, obvious...I don't recommend this instructor at all.

The class is based on very challenging issues. Don't take the class unless you are prepared to really examine yourself and share it with the rest of the class. She tries to challenge you to think and discuss which is why she uses a lot of class discussion. I highly recommend this prof and class

Lisa is a very nice person, but class was based entirely on group discussion which got fairly repetative after the second class. Content could have been presented differently and class would have been more interesting. Planning on taking this class with Lisa? DONT you WILL be BORED!

Like any class, you get out of it what you put in. She is not going to do handstands to motivate university students. She knows what she's talking about. The whole point of the class is to challenge what you believe to be true- if can't do that, don't waste her time or the rest of the class's.

I got a lot out of this class. Lisa really lets people express themselves, and the class is highly centered around discussion. She is a great instructor. I would recomend her to anyone.

Very nice lady. Class is 100% discussion on racism etc. Can get very boring if you're not a talker. Little reading, onr group assignment worth 45% of mark- too much dependance on others for me. But overal a nice lady and fairly easy class.

I appreciated an intellectual approach to an education course (very rare in this department). I found her to be thoughtful and provocative. The material was eye-openning and I think it was too hard for some to deal with.
