She is the nicest kindest lady, but she doesnt do the best job at teaching the actual material. You 100% need a tutor to pass this class and there are no opportunities for extra credit so good luck. She did curve the final only by a couple of points. Do not take her class unless you are ready to teach yourself the material entirely on your own

Worst math teacher I've ever had. Will start to do a problem and then tell us "you know where to go from here." Most of the students in my class were struggling, and I wouldn't have passed this class if it weren't for peer tutoring or if I hadn't already taken calc in high school. Don't take her class unless you are a genius when it comes to calc.

Least favorite teacher here by far. Writes down equations on the board, tells us "we know where to go from here" and then moves on without teaching or solving anything. I'm only passing is because I've taken Calc before, and still only get 50s and 60s on the quizzes. No calculators allowed ever. Our class average is a low 70, will never take again

Explains things very well. The other thing that I thought was refreshing was the fact that she visibly loves what she does. Also somehow manages to squeeze in a couple jokes here and there. She gets excited about what she teaches and does it in a way that's easy to follow.

I had Dr. O for both MA301 (Linear Algebra) and MA395 (Discrete Methods). I went to her office hours pretty frequently and she is extremely helpful both in and out of class. Linear is pretty easy with a decent amount of work. Discrete is EXTREMELY difficult but it's just the material. Dr. O is extremely friendly and cares about her students.

The class is hard, but Its not her fault. She's great. Thats calc for you. This class will take a lot of your time. I survived because I went to math club every time it was offered during the week. You have online homework (with infinite tries) so thats helpful in learning. I would retake her because the review sheets are VERY similar to the exams.

I hate calculus and math in general, but she makes it not so bad. Definitely go to her office hours. She is always there to help and doesn't get frustrated. One homework a week which boosts your grade a lot if you do it and one quiz a week which isn't so bad.

Stay on top of the material, Webwork is time-consuming. MATLAB projects were somewhat difficult with no programming background but she was very helpful with outlines and if you went to her for help. Class style is mostly lecture and can be boring. Make sure you know the things you miss though.

The most helpful professor at Loyola. She is passionate about mathematics and her students success- always available for consultation. She comes off a bit dry (in class) at first, but once you go to office hours her personality comes out! I highly suggest taking any class she is teaching!

She's awesome! I didn't feel that I knew calc 1 as well as I could have going into the class and I had no problem getting an A. Webwork is really time consuming but helpful because it's harder than the quizzes / tests. Willing to help on anything. I'm taking her every semester for as long as I can...

she didnt teach! her class was a boring lecture instead of a class. she didnt involved the class at all. if you are smart enough to sleep through calc 2 then you mind as well not even show up (no attendance policy). also, homework really sucks cuz its all online and graded for accuracy. Not the point of homework!

Dr. O. is an excellent teacher for Calc III. She makes the concepts easy to understand, and will always explain thoroughly any questions that you may have. The only criticism I have of her is that she seems to be strictly business, and makes very little effort to get to know her students. Overall recommendation: a must-have teacher.

Awesome teacher, knows what she's doing. Very helpful, she'll make time to meet should you need it. Plus it's always fun to hear a math teacher say "It's raining on a Friday afternoon...so I'm not going to prove this." :-)

She is a very nice lady and she begins every class with a question and answer session. any questions that you have with the webwork she will go over during class time and do the whole problem out on the board for you. She can get a little confusing when she abbreviates EVERYTHING but just stop her and ask and she will tell you. I recommend her.
