My classes with Dr. Vergara were favorites of mine and I found them very inspirational. She was also extremely responsive to after-class questions and in providing direction and extra material in my areas of interest.

We met once a week for the first month, then didn't have classes for a month to work on our paper and presentation. The paper is min. 15pp, and the presentation is 20 mins. DON'T LET THIS INTIMIDATE YOU! It really isn't that bad and she holds your hand every step of the way. She's an encyclopedia when it comes to art which makes the course easy

OMG, she's awesome! I am lucky to find someone there who's so happy to teach & educate me. She really knows what she is talking about. She is sweet, organized I I couldn't ask for a better Prof. to teach me this subject. I hope I'm blessed to have her again in something else. (I don't know why she has received so many neg. comments, she's AWESOME!)

Prof Vergara is a sweet woman, but INCREDIBLY disorganized! Canceled a number of classes, some last minute, and although the notes are handed out in class, her lectures will put you in a COMA. Often came to class late and will almost never let you out early. Takes 20 min to say something that could be said in 3. Drink a red bull or coffee b4 class!

It's not an easy class and my major is art history. She's a bit boring at times and she doesn't like it if you don't agree with her and you have to memorize all of her notes to get an A. She's okay, not too bad.

Prof. Vergara knows her stuff. She is vetran professor, and it shows, but she is sharp as a tack. Do the work and come to class, and you will do well. I would definatly take her again. ALSO, she hand out her notes for every class!

Prof. Vergara is such a spaz, and I love it. I admit her lectures are not the most exciting, but all the information you need is on the weekly schedules she hands out. Her 2 papers (one for the final and one for the midterm) are quite easy. 2 quizzes, a midterm and a final, that's it. Simple enough.

A shame that Hunter lets this lady teach art history. She can give you the skinny on all the info, but the passion just isn't there. What's worse is that she is very unorganized and jumpy. The slightest bit of constructive criticism shocks her beyond belief, and takes it very personally. She can be rather rude and amazingly immature for her old age

Neurotic is absolutely correct, and disrespectful is as well. Only figures in her opinions, doesn't care about the students. It's Art History, stop pretending like what you say is the absolute fact. Honestly, a woman with many personal problems who will make you feel useless for commenting. If you're a good brown-noser, then she's for you.

Neurotic and disrespectful. Somehow believes only her insight on the topics are the correct ones. VERY unorganized, and when criticized about it, takes it extremely personally. I love art history, especially baroque and renaissance, yet she managed to ruin it for me. Shouldn't have let her stupidity affect my love for art: but thats how bad it was.

I took this class because I loved Northern, but she was an entirely different person and teacher. I do not know if it was personal or the material, but if this was my only experience with her I would warn future students. She was flaky, unpredictable and rude.

This class is very easy if you come to class and take good notes. But it wasn't as interesting as I had hoped. She'll focus on something boring like Netherlandish flower arrangement paintings for too long and then have to skip most of something interesting, like Vermeer because of it. She's very nice and helpful but can come of as neurotic at times
