Interactive classes but she is unresponsive or rude when answering emails. The assignments don't come with rubrics and are arbitrary.

Comment:
This class involved 6 homeworks, each worth 10%. The homework questions were vague and the grading criteria was very unclear. When attempting to email her or approach her after class for clarification, she offers little assistance and is often rude in responses. However, she does offer participation marks and she does run more interactive lectures.

She splits the class up into 6 homework, worth 10% each. Don't get your hopes up, they are not easy. Questions are often unclear, even TAs make comments on it. There is no preassigned grades per question because she "makes it up once we submit them". Lectures are boring and not reflective of homework. I wouldn't take any course with her again

I found her knowledgeable and clear which is essential for stats. she has a bit of an abrasive side but it's more an illusion that anything. She doesn't particularly like it when u don't understand but its not bc she's mad at u but bc she wants to know she can teach u want u need to know. she wants u to learn what is essential and stats is.

Each class we run through SPSS analysis on our own computers, which is very helpful as you do the same procedure for homework assignments. She split up the semester into 6 homework assignments and 5 tests which is nice that nothing is weighted to heavily. Look at feedback from your assignment. Follow textbook for tests. No need to memorize formulas

Statistics is rough for me and for a lot of other students, but is necessary. Lise seemed to delight in making things difficult, she was zero help every time I asked a question, often responding with snarky remarks. Her teaching methods were awkward and scattered. I found it hard to keep track of what she was doing. I am extremely unhappy with her.

Comment:
Exams and assignments are purposefully tricky and requirements are somewhat fuzzy. Comes across a little terse in email correspondence but I think that's just her personality. If you don't understand something or have an issue ask her in person, not over email as she tends to give little help and lots of blame.

Lacks clarity and often spends a lot of time explaining simple topics but skims over harder things. Does not make criteria for assignments clear and your marks suffer as a result. Very rude over email correspondence. Tricky examassignment questions.

I love Lise! If anyone says she's difficult they didn't work hard. I put time and effort into all of my assignments and studying/went to every class (and paid attention) and I got a 97% (ask me to multiply 9 by 7 in my head and I'll struggle). Assignments are long but if you email her with questions she's very helpful. Definitely take her course!

Good prof, understanding and nice as a person. She occasionally slips up on her speech because english doesn't appear to be her first language, however she always plays it off as a funny joke.

SPSS assignments are tricky and VERY time consuming. Homeworks were every week and took 3+ hours each. if you put in the effort you can get through it, but get ready to dedicate 10 hours a week for it.

Lise explains things very clearly IN class, but I found that she could be somewhat rude in e-mails. Make sure to go to every class, asks lots of question and DO THE HOMEWORK because they can really boost up your mark. Also find a buddy when doing the assignments because they're tricky!!

Really disliked this prof. She's not clear at all and it's extremely easy to get lost in her lectures. She makes her tests and assignments tricky on purpose. Don't take her class if you have another option.

Despite previous comments, she is a very clear professor. Repeats important concepts many times over to make sure you know what to study. Picked a great textbook and each assignment/test is not work a lot, so you get many chances to make up lost marks and get used to her style. Very knowledgeable and very willing to help students get extra help.

She's really nice but flighty, I find her lectures confusing. She posts her notes but they're kind of convoluted and hard to follow. Not the best stats prof out there, but not the absolute worst either.

Her slides have no flow and she jumps to things quickly. I find she kinda makes you look dumb if you ask a dumb question in class. I definitly use the textbook to help me understand her course
