Lorne did a good job of teaching bus 100 and I would highly recommend taking him. However, he does pick favorites but in order to become a favorite, all you have to do is participate. His instructions and expectations were sometimes unclear.

Lorne plays favorites, and uses that bias to lower your mark or make the class harder for you if he does not seem to like you. He knows what he is talking about, but the lectures are continuously dry and boring. I wouldn't recommend him to anyone. Pick another teacher.

I didn't mind Lorne. Has a lot of business experience so he knows what he is talking about. If I was going to take a first year business course, I wouldnt mind taking it with him again. His tests aren't that bad either if you study business terms. Also, there is a fun group project where you get to pick on a popular company

You're right, Lorne plays favorites, but he does it by appreciating those who are dedicated, punctual, prepared, thoughtful and hardworking. If you aren't included in that, you shouldn't be going to college. The group project is very extensive. Do your homework and you'll be rewarded.

Wow at first seems like a good teacher. Always smiling even when he's making you feel stupid for asking what you think are important questions. Expect to learn how successful he.... just listen to him boast about his raving fast food market that he is in. Overall, knows his course but picks his favourites and loves people who suck up to him.

Lorne is an excellent teacher. He is extremely knowlegable has a lot of experience in the business world. In class, he speaks very clear and gets the class involved in all discussions. He is easy to get a long with and I am definately looking forward to taking more of his classes in the future.

Lorne's great. He does seem to pick favorites, but all you need to do is show up on time, be prepared for class, and participate. It's not that difficult. And, randomly asking questions is not a bad thing - you should be prepared anyway. It's part of his participation grade, which is so easy to get. He's helpful, and knows his stuff.

Lorne's a really nice guy and has the blue-est eyes I've ever seen. He calls on people in class a lot, and really expects a lot from his students. You really need to know your stuff to do the business plan, try and find a business that you can find resources on easily.

It's true - Lorne does pick favorites, so just work at being one. To do that, you just have to be prepared and participate in class. He is very fair, and one of the best teachers I've ever had. He has high expectations, but if you keep up, it's pretty easy to get a good grade.

I enjoy Lorne's teaching style, its not conventional and as far as i'm concerned, if i'm not falling asleep, its a good class. I suggest taking BUS 403 with Lorne in Fall 2005, Its going to be very interesting to see what Lorne's going to do with it. His midterms suck.....more emphasis on how the question is written..which is bad.

Lorne is hands down the best teacher I've ever had. He emphasis the practicality of the material but knows his theory as well. He INSPIRES you to learn and motivates you to seek knowledge in your field. Works you hard, but marks very fairly. Super nice, super helpful and just an all-round great guy.
