Great at teaching the material - really knows his stuff. Tests are sometimes challenging but not overly difficult. Loves to pull the "ole bait n' switch" with his sample exams versus real exams, however, so don't get hung up on the samples and make sure to cover ALL material thoroughly or it could cost you a test. All in all, highly recommended.

Very easy class. Dr. Block moves slowly through the course material and any student who regularly attends his lectures and who occasionally does the optional homework will get an A in his class. His tests are a fair representation of the course material presented in his lectures.

Dr. Block was a great professor. May not have the most exciting lectures but they are worth going to because I learned a lot and some material would show up on the quizzes/exam. Grade is based on three quizzes, a midterm, and a final but very manageable. Taking MAA 4103 with him next semester, would definitely recommend him to anyone

Good professor, very easy to understand, and overall a very nice man. He does a lot of example problems in class, which is very helpful, and the final is optional. Do the homework and you'll be fine; his tests aren't bad and he gives lots of partial credit.

AWESOME!! believe it or not, he makes calc 2 an easy A. It's not a weed out course like calc 1. Do the hw!!! and you are guaranteed an A. So far i've taken two out of three exams, and got %100 on both. The final is optional so no cummulative exams!

Somewhat bland professor but there are things that are a million times worse than bland. Very straitforward, don't need to go to class, his tests usually consists of the example problems in the book. Much better than Levin, who I had the first time. I guess the class was easier for me since it's the 2nd time taking it.
