He is a pretty old fashioned guy, and is very knowledgeable about what he teaches. His class is very tough if you're not willing to put in the time to read the textbook. He has a pretty weird sense of humor but you will enjoy his class and will learn a lot. He says he takes attendance but I think he only does it occasionally.

He is a 60 year old black man from Louisiana. He is very professional and old-fashioned. He doesn't use blackboard and he doesn't use slides or online material. His lectures are full of interesting and useful knowledge and he can be funny at times. TESTS ARE 110% TEXTBOOK READING. Only homework is textbook reading, but you better keep up with that.

Very wise. Love his lectures. I always enjoy taking classes from professors that are truly passionate about their career and really care about making a difference in the world. Fun class. He's a great teacher, but the tests are hella hard.

I loved this class. Sure he just lectured (my preferred way of learning) which doesn't work for lots of people but he is a great professor. Helped me to decide to continue my studies in Psych. Also if you have a good grade in the class you don't have to take the final!

One of the best teachers I have ever had. His class is not the easiest but it is insightful and worth every page you have to read. Organized and a great teacher.

I have always maintained a good GPA until this course. I was so confident taking the tests, I went over the material numerous times but still failed every single one. He is a very wise man and enjoyed his class but could not pass.

Beginning of class he actual taught the lesson then over time he just lecture on and on and on about nothing, MAKE SURE YOU READ THE MATERIAL LIKE 3 TIMES. Need to put time in outside of classroom, only four tests and two extra credit. Very wise but doesn't talk about the actual material.

Professor Elloie is a solid professor. Everything on the test is straight from the book, there are online study guides and some practice tests to help. If you are unable to sit and read then the exams will be miserable for you. You will learn plenty interesting things. Don't take if you are looking for an easy A. Eventually he stops taking roll.

Very nice and intelligent man, learned things from this class. Very respectable and also funny. but awful professor. You have 4 tests and these are your only grades in the class. He gives extra credit but the tests are very hard. No other options for points to earn. Really wish I took a different professor.

His lectures are light, so you shouldn't have trouble attending. The problem is, he doesn't leave homework or projects, just exams: all based on the book. You might as well not go to his lectures (a lot of people in my class didn't), since the exams are based 80% on the test and 20% on stuff you are supposed to know "already".

He was unprofessional and disrespectful. He presented several film clips during lectures, usually only marginally related to the specific study topic. He was very arrogant and we saw his anger get the best of him on multiple occasions where he would yell at students. He is no longer a professor of this class, which is no surprise to me.

Lots of potential for extra credit... Tests pretty much straight from textbook so read the chapters/notes in class and you're good. He is very dedicated to his discipline, gives tips that help.

Amazing teacher. For those of you interested in floating by and getting an A, look elsewhere. But for those of you who love learning, this is the teacher for you. He is absolutely brilliant, has all sorts of stories, and just teaches an incredible amount of information. Easily my favourite teacher on campus.

Professor Elloie is one of the most intelligent people I have ever met- this is a huge issue as he will discuss a variety of unrelated things during class. The tests are based strictly on the textbook (which is incredibly dense and difficult). Only take this class if you are willing to put in hours into decoding the textbook and making study guides

Interesting lectures. No homework. He orders his test from the book manufacturer, they are extremely tricky. Class average on tests were 60-70%, thank god for a decent curve. I would never take his class again or recommend it unless you can teach yourself the book well.

Hilarious stories and inspires whole class to be open minded. This was my favorite class. You will feel like classmates are all one big family. Talks about interesting things but unfortunately little to do with exams. Exam questions very detailed questions from the book. Very difficult. No study guide. Kinda lazy and always right but super nice

If you are expecting to learn from the lectures then you are wrong, to get an A you will have to read the textbook and study. His class is great, though, he makes the class fun and tells us stories relevant to the discussion, also gives a lot of extra credit assignments. Recommend if you are good at learning by yourself.

Missed about half the classes and didn't give us a heads up, lectures had no relevance to tests or text material, and literally only learned about Freud the whole semester. Steer Clear.
