The class was a joke. I did well in Writing II because I already knew how to write. I guess I could say that I now proof read better but that really shouldn't be the only thing someone gets out of a college course.

Dr. Greiff is a nice man and is obviously very intelligent, but a very hard grader. His quizzes are very particular, you can never use spark notes if you forgot to read because he expects you to read for detail and makes sure its not in spark notes. The material covered in his Fiction into Film class was interesting but somewhat challenging.

Dr. Greiff is one of the most intelligent men ever. His dry sense of humor made me laugh everday and his interest in 60's lit creates interesting classes for english majors in the otherwise bland course offerings.

Lou Greiff gave me the least helpful writing advice ever recieved: "I can't teach you anything about writing." Plus, his writing class revolved around literary texts and movies, to the exclusion of discussing how to write!

What an intelligent man. I've had him for two classes, now, both upper level. His classes are more lecture-style than the rest of the department. He's a tough grader, but more than willing to help.

Dr. Greiff shouldn't be the head of the dept. While he may be a nice guy and a fair professor, the curriculum for majors is far behind the times. He's stuck in Medieval England and refuses to evolve to present day. Very euro-centric & should be impeached
