Lowell Habel made me love public speaking, and I hate getting in front of people. Usually when I finish up a class I walk out on the last day kind of neutral, knowing that I'm not really taking away anything useful from the course. Not in Lowell's class! I walked out feeling like I'd improved myself. He's funny and knows what he's doing. Take him!

Professor Habel is an amazing speaker. He may, as he knows, go off track while speaking. However, I feel that is his method to use examples to which his students can relate. He keeps you interested in what he is teaching. Read the book. Take notes and your mid-term and final will be a breeze!

Habel is by far the most companssionate experts in the study of speech that exists. He makes you learn, he takes no victims, and respects you. Yes, he is not easy, I got a C, but I don't care about grades, I want to learn. He lets you and wants you to succeed. He is always there for you. He is my favorite teacher that I have had.

He is definitely different. Different meaning he is not boring and actually cares about his students as long as they put forth effort. He stands out and makes us want to do the same. His humor makes his class entertaining. He uses real life scenarios, which helps in the big world. He rocks!!! Oh and always go to class just like I did.

Professor Habel is a good teacher - his tests are mildly hard considering how easy he makes the class seem. He is very loud and entertaining, though he does use students in his stories and it can be sort-of awkward. His class is very fun and easy - the subject is very "no duh" so there is little work required.

great teacher but could be hypocritical on the being late part. He's late to class alot but doesn't want you late at all. he does let you out early though! he is interesting but the jokes get old. OTHER THAN THAT HE IS HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

I didn't really care for him, he's LOUD out of nowhere, he's insulting and rude. He loves putting people down in front of everyone and he kind of scared me. He swears he knows everything about anything and says "Ladies adn Gentlemen" way too much. He's really easy, though. I didn't do ANYTHING and got a B.

Easygoing, relaxed class but must be on time. Text is only purchased at bookstore which includes examples & blank pages needed in class. The cost was under $30 & was the only purchase needed. A good first-time speech class for those with jitters. Teacher's sense of humor was a bit questionable but I would highly recommend this class!
