He is an awesome guy, not so awesome professor. Not one of his classes were longer than 30 minutes. When he cancelled, he didnt send out an email so you would show up to a sign saying no class. He assigns about three papers and gives you plenty of time to do them. I didn't hand in one paper and didn't study for the final and got a B.

Hands down one of the best professors at NYIT. He doesn't give that many test, papers here and there. Participation is a must he loves his students to be involved. Very sweet old man and very smart as well. Would take his class again! Recommend him for sure

Hands-down the most enjoyable class at NYIT. This wonderful old man tells stories about Socrates for an hour at a time, twice a week. Occasionally you have to write a brief essay, or take a written test. He wrote the textbook so if you read it in his voice, it's just so much better.

Amazing guy. I always showed up 10 mins late to every single class and he never got mad. In fact he got used to it :D...If you read the book and pay attention for 25% of the class you're guaranteed an A. I studied for one of his tests on the bus...Got a 95. That's how easy they are. Nice and funny guy too. You'll love him

This guy was an amazing teacher. I knew nothing about philosophy but still somehow got an A. All you have to do is get him to learn your name by talking with him after class and your good for the whole semester. Would recommend him to anyone. I only answered half the questions on the final but still got an A! This dude rocks!

The sexiest man alive. Sometimes, he'll put you to sleep. Sometimes, he'll give the exact same lecture he gave last class. Sometimes, his pearls of wisdom help change your life. Listen, take notes, memorize the glossary & ***talk to him after class***. If he knows you by name, you'll get an A.

One of the wisest men I've met in my life. Don't leave NYIT without having him as a professor. He is extremely kind and a great teacher (but if you're tired and don't care about philosophy, you're gonna fall asleep). Make sure to talk to him after class about philosophy and he'll favor you. Great man, great professor.

One of the best teachers I have ever had in my entire school life. He is close to the ideal teacher. Hes brilliant, enlightening and extremely helpful. Some may fall asleep in class because he loves to talk, but theres so much to say. He is probably the wisest man I have ever met. He is one of those famous teachers at this school you pay to get.

This guy is so easy man. Don't pay attention in class. Just find someone who has last year's test and just study that. He never changes his tests even though he says he will. The guy is all talk. Don't take anything he says seriously. Navia is the man!
