The first memo I did bad on. But after going to her office hours and reaching out to her I did better in her class. She is a professor editor and requires that your writing is clear, concise and simple. Reach out to her, the writing center, and preceptor and you'll do just fine. She likes when students put effort and it will be worth it.

She is strict but reasonable on grading, attendance, etc. Lots of reading but you can get away with it if you are smart enough. FIRST IMPRESSION COUNTS. Whether she likes you or not, it's gonna reflect on your grade. Use exotic examples in papers, take advantage of your background, hispanic, asian, german, african,... Ask for rewriting your paper

The class would appeal to people who like dance, otherwise think twice before taking it. She is a tough grader, especially on essays, there is a lot of required readings and the content is very dense. There is quite alot of work for a Foundations Course.

Brooks does appear cold sometimes, and she is a tough grader, but if you take her suggestions (make sure to use lots of examples in papers!) and participate in class you will do well. She is extremely smart and and can be very sweet if you can connect with her.

Lynn's Movement Analysis class was fantastic! It was fun and enlightening. The only downside is that for a 200 level class there were several assignments due every week. She gives quizes every other week, has you keep a weekly journal, write several essays and do a final.

Brooks isn't as bad as everyone says she is. The reading is very important in this class, and she gets extremely annoyed when people don't do or understand the reading (which happens quite often). You'll be on her good side if you do the reading and participate often.

Don't take this class unless you are interested stupid stuff, or if you love school and you are a dancer. I didn't like it, I didn't like her because she cast an early and wrong judgement upon me which reflected on my grade, which I felt was completely wrong.

Your grade reflects your work. She is very helpful if you open yourself up to it. It is frustrating at times to produce the caliber of work she expects, but welcome to college. She's a very nice person once you get to know her (which is not hard because she is very approachable).
