Comment:

Dr. Lambert is a nice person, and she wants her students to succeed, but she is a horrible professor. She is very unorganized, and she is constantly making mistakes for practice problems in class. She expects you to study for tests using problems in the textbook, but you have no way of checking to see if your answer is correct.

Comment:

She's a pretty solid teacher and knows how to teach 150. Those with experience, this will be a breeze, but beginners will have to make sure they do all the work assigned, keep up and practice coding. She's really goofy, gives very easy daily quizzes, runs around (literally) in the class, and gives out candy if someone catches her mistakes!

Comment:

Dr. Lambert was a very good professor for me. I have taken a java class before so I was going to get an easy A in 150 no matter who the professor was. Just code along with her in class and do the Zybooks stuff and you will pass. Be prepared for a quiz every class with a bigger one generally being the last class of the week.

Comment:

Professor Lambert knows programming like the back of her hand. In a classroom setting she is a bit unorthodox with her lectures so be prepared to code with her. She teaches kinetically; if you code along with her, the class will be an easy A. Keep up with the Zybooks readings as well. Don't be afraid to visit her outside of class if you need help.

If you don't know Java GUI going in brush up. It won't crush you, but it won't be simple either. Lazy testing, fill in the blank based off cut-and-paste from the textbook, but it will be material from a lecture slide. So if you miss lectures you'll be in trouble.

Professor Lambert explains everything in detail, writes everything on the board, and is very energetic. She adds humor to the class, and she will answer all questions, either in class or during her office hours. Don't be afraid to ask for help; she's almost always available! Tip: write down everything she writes on the board and CODE WITH HER.

Dr. Lambert is one of a kind. She is funny, a great teacher, and honestly one of the most likeable personalities I've seen in a teacher. She is ridiculously helpful in her office hours, and truly cares about her students. It's obvious she loves her job and takes pride in her work. Would highly recommend, and would definitely take again.

Comment:

Lambert is a nice lady and is a great instructor. The class can be a little frustrating at the beginning, because computer science is a difficult discipline to jump into. She drops your lowest everything, including lowest test. Labs are easy. Have a good buddy in the class to help you if you need it. Shes very helpful outside of class.

Extremely disorganized. Class wasn't worth going to most of the time, but also wasn't mandatory. Let us use the IDE and Google for the final, so it was fairly easy. Projects are often time-consuming busy work, expect to do the same project over and over again with slight variations. Rarely responds to emails, takes over a month to grade midterms.

Class itself was unproductive as she would constantly run into issues getting applications to work in class. The midterm was EXTREMELY difficult due to time constraints but the final was pretty standard.

If you need a class you never have to go to and can do your assignments online, Dr. Lambert is your lady. Her class was simple for people with just a working knowledge of the Microsoft applications. You do not even have to buy the text book. If you are looking to learn, take another proffessor, but to just get the class over with, good choice.
