LOVE LOVE LOVE SCORESBY! he seriuosly was one of the greatest teachers i have ever had in my life. he was so full of energy and absolutely hilarious! he was really passionate about his subject and you couldn't help but love the class! i'm so glad i got him before he retired. he was the awesomest!

I loved this class. He is a great teacher! Make sure you keep up in the reading and take good notes! Go to the TA study sessions only if you are confused about something, otherwise they are a waste of time because they only restate what you should have in the notes. STUDY THE NOTES

Tests are WAY HARDER than any test ever should be. The teacher gives good insights in class, spiritual ones - but almost as sidenotes - he spends little time actually diving into information you need to know and more time on tangents - and giving you lists of JUST STUFF to memorize... Argh.

I really liked the information that he gave us in his lectures. However, he calls on people individually and uses people in the class as examples of "hot" girls and the like, which made me very uncomfortable. The tests are hard. The papers take a long time, but aren't impossible.

You can do well if you actually READ the text and I recommend studying by yourself (flash cards worked for me) and then meeting w/ a study group. The T.A. group didn't help much, I suggest scheduling 1on1 time w/ a T.A. or just stay w/a small study group.

this class is awesome. scoresby relates so much that we study to everyday life and he is so animated. the tests aren't as bad as everyone says, and they are always curved. the papers are easy and pad your grade, just follow the layout. GOOD CLASS.
