Comment:

She is so nice and understanding! She will lead the class off with a small lecture and then it turns into a class discussion. She gives 5 hw assignments, all only a page long, not very hard. One midterm exam and a final exam with three bigger papers. It sounds like a lot but she spreads it out all year and makes it not so overwhelming.

Shes awesome, accessabile and understanding. Tests are to be expected based on the study guides she provides. The textbook was written by herself so its a great way to actually learn and comprehend the material

As a first semester freshman, Dr. Ford was perfect for learning how to engage in a college class. I took her honors american gov class. Her tests are difficult because she wants you to think and make judgements on what is going on in today's politics, but she makes the class so interesting! And there is tons of extra credit.

Had Dr. Ford for 101 and now for 392. She is absolutely wonderful! So personable and always ready and willing to help! I want to take all the classes I can with her. Class material is understandable, and she doesn't try to make her tests impossible. She wants you to succeed. Do the reading and attend class. Her lectures are never boring!

Definitely not my subject, but she made it understandable for me. She's very quick to help and answer any questions you may have. If you get a bad grade on a test, she's there to suggest better ways to study. VERY helpful!

i LOVE dr. ford! she was my favorite teacher this semester! she is extremely intelligent but doesn't talk over your head. attendance is not mandatory but the tests are based off her lectures, so go! the study guides can be overwhelming, but she only asks questions from it. no surprises! i would definitely take her again!

Pretty bad prof overall - didn't learn much. Homework is just random questions about the textbook and you have to do 10/15 for a grade. Hope and pray that you don't miss class for any legit reason or she'll rip you a new one for even thinking it was a legit reason (God forbid somebody be in the hospital with a 103 degree fever for 2 nights)

Dr. Ford is a great teacher. I was not looking forward to taking this class at all but she has made it very enjoyable. She assigns daily homework but it is not busy work it really helps you learn the material. Her tests are not meant to trick you but to make sure you understand the material. Take her!

I thought she was great. She actually cares about her students & is always available for outside help. She's pretty understanding about turning assignments in late b/c of a busy schedule. You can tell she's really smart but she doesn't try to teach over your head, especially b/c its a 101 class. Lots of extra credit oppurtunities. Love her!

She is obviously nervous teaching in front of people. She is very confusing and hard to follow. She is a very lenient grader and obviously tries to grade the exams so that everyone passes. Not to hard of a class, if you put in a little bit of effort you will be ok. She is a great person, but I wouldn't take her again for a class.

i agree with the last guy. i thought she was hard as hell. AND she's not as friendly as she makes herself out to be. but i think that she is good teacher, in a strange way. Also she gives notes in a really weird way. too many arrows and such
