Comment:

Dr. Snowden was one of the worst professors I have ever had at UNCW. She is extremely unorganized, her class structure is disorganized and all over the place, and her assignments are bs. She doesn't give clear instructions on any of the work she assigns you and if you email her for clarification, it's likely she won't respond.

Dr. Snowden has been THE worst professor I've ever had at UNCW. I took her class online. And before the semester even started she sent out an email asking us not to email her because she has "other important classes on campus." She never responds to emails and just expects you to know the criteria for the weekly DBs. 10/10 would NEVER take again.

This class seemed really off the wall because a lot of the assignments seem ridiculous and don't seem to have much relevancy. However, once I started to meet with professor Snowden I started liking this course much more. I highly recommend this course and Snowden... I also recommend meeting with her during office hours. Easy class and easy A.

At first I was a little scared cause I asked for a little more clarification with due dates since it is an online class and I wouldn't be seeing her daily, and she was kinda snarky with email responses, but If you make sure to read the lectures and respond to her discussions well she is a pretty easy grader and its not too much work.

Ridiculously unorganized. Assignments often have nothing to do with lectures, lectures don't go along with the textbook. She never responds to emails and complains that she is overloaded with 60 overall students when many professors teach several classes of 100+ students each.

I took this class online and after taking it, I will avoid Dr. Snowden at all costs. She is honestly very rude and very unorgainzed. I learned nothing from her online lectures and felt as if it was a waste of time. I do not know if she is a different type of teacher in person, however she is not an ideal professor for an online class.

She was more worried with telling jokes then anything. Her exams are very hard and she does not tell you where they come from. She gives you extra credit assignments and then does not give you the extra credit . Takes forever for her to grade and she does not respond to emails. WORST PROFESSOR AT UNCW

AVOID AT ALL COSTS. Will not respond to emails. Very unorganized. I had an issue with the class and absolutely could not get in touch with her. I tried emailing her, left a message on her phone in her office, and went to her office hours (and she was not there). Also takes weeks to grade relatively simple assignments. Very frustrating.

Horrid. Not a fan, at all. Went from an A to a 66 in her class because she is a complete and total idiot and lost an assignment that I turned in. DO NOT TAKE THIS MONSTER'S CLASS!!! The worst part? I needed to bring my GPA up drastically so I could study abroad. Seriously, don't do it.

This class was awesome. Learned a lot about Collective Violence and thoroughly enjoyed her vast wealth of knowledge. Definitely recommend taking Dr. Snowden if you get the chance. Also, know that book for her tests!

I'm not very fond of Professor Snowden. I emailed her several times asking questions pertaining to the class and she very seldom had the courtesy to respond. Her class isn't too difficult if you put forth the effort, but she is just not a nice woman. I wouldn't recommend taking her.

She's really a sweet lady, but she's extremely unorganized. There's hardly ever anything she says to take notes on for the exams. She randomly shows videos from Youtube, which helps make the class go by faster, but doesn't help with the exams. Obviously she knows what shes talking about, but she's not organized enough for you to learn anything.

Very nice lady. Tests are kinda hard and come straight from the book. She isn't very good at explaining what to study for the tests. Watch the movies she shows in class cause she will have questions on the test. Barely any homework. Overall pretty easy class.

UGH. She is sweet, but that is about it. I have NEVER in my life been so confused in a classroom. She spends the whole time flirting with her former students and making stupid jokes than she does actually teaching. She assigns 3 freaking books to read and then asks 5 questions on her tests?! REALLY!? Its called a study guide, invest.

Dr. Snowden is a wonderful professor. I failed the midterm miserably and thanks to her, I ended the semester with a C+. I recommend actually getting the book, unlike me. For the most part the class is a breeze if you actually just show up, but the exams are fairly hard and if you do take this course, make sure you know that book from cover to cover
