probebly the worst prof ever, not even sure what she was talking about during class, just go to class for your participation marks. The papers are a breeze, but I chose to write about a historical figure in relations to my research paper and she was totally subjective towards it, and didn't give me a good mark, she admmitted to not liking the figure

I felt like I learnt a lot in this class. From the book that is. Most of the time in class I was very confused as to what she was talking about. Don't even need a notebook in this class. More like, a couple pages of paper for notes. She was nice though and gave good feedback on our work.

I read nothing for this class. googling the summaries and spewing out what she said in class is enough. My reward was an A- =) Thank me you fools. I just saved you 100 bucks in textbooks. My in-class essay which was crap got an A while my final paper, which I spent loads of time on and thought I'd do well only got a B. see? don't try so hard.

She was so disorganized, never handed back any of our assignments on time, often late for class, cancelled class two times for no apparent reason. I would not recommend her.

Picked interesting themes and readings. Valued an engaged class, although ours was always still asleep. A rather tough marker who wasn't always clear with expectations. Final was stress-free though: 20% weight and open book! Would take her again. Loved marking weights.

Ugh, worst class ever. The teacher is completely disorganized, goes off on tangents and gives projects with ZERO guidelines. I found it very frustrating and I would definitely not recommend this class, whether you love literature or hate it.

The class is okay. I hate english so I may not be the best candidate to rate the course. Maja is very interesting, but can go off topic a bit. She is extremely understanding and knowledgeable and seems to be a fair marker. Is helpful when you go to her for help. I took a couple of her classes and ended up with A- 's.

I didn't find that Maja provided any input on the course material that was not already obvious. She would also go off topic a lot. I didn't really gain along from this course.

Prof. Lange is great! She's easy going, understanding, helpful and best of all a lenient marker. She does take awhile to mark though!!! To do well on essays, seek her help during office hours for clarity. She is a bit confusing during class discussions (she goes off topic quite a bit!). Otherwise, she's really good. Take her if you can get in! ^_^

This class is a crapshoot... I handed in what I considered to be the worst paper I had ever written and got an A, yet when I felt I owned that final, I dropped like 10% to a B... Not sure what to make of the class, I wasn't too fond of the overall "Theme" of the class (it was about love or something, but I disagreed with almost everything said)

Cl**** is boring because she always goes off topic. To get a good mark, do what she tells you to. SOME things she says is useful and informative, but most of the time she just babbles on about stuff not related to english.

Great teacher! Loved the course because of her. Very very understanding when it came to in-cl**** essays. She allowed us to have all our text for the final if we felt we needed it there. She's really accommodating. The final had many options for both the short answer paragraphs and the essay. I highly recommend this teacher and this course!

Nice lady, but very disorganized. Does NOT follow the syllabus, everything is delayed. Missed 2 classes. Easy marker though. The things learnt in class don't really help. However, there's barely any homework and readings are not mandatory (she never checks). I would recommend taking her class only if you can stand disorganization and want easiness.

I agree, she is very interesting if you can stay awake and listen to her. Basically, if you regurgitate her lectures in your paper, you'll do fine. Her final was significantly more difficult though. But I'm wondering, for those who took her 227 Prose Fiction class, did she have a final? Was it easy?

Hard to judge at first BUT a very nice professor. If you attempt communication with her she will be more than helpful and eager. Go to the classes, cause if you do youll only have about 30 min. of homework a week or better yet, not even have to do the readings. Take this course, you wont regret it. Not a hard marker. Notices effort.

3mth course, did not know one thing she said. Confusing from day 1. Nice lady though, although she looks like a greying witch. Lenient marker. Did I mention confusing? Takes long to get assignments back (only final was on time). Would take her again for easy mark only. Did I say confusing yet?
