If she actually gave you hand outs you could learn.Since there are no textbooks in the entire program I think I could afford say twenty bucks to have my own copy of the numerous readings assigned.Instead of having to visit her office to see if the one copy she has for aclass of thirty is back in yet. This is mental abuse not learning.

Mandy is a woman who could be so beautiful, and such a great teacher. She could be a great listener, and a great helper. She could be a winner. But she is none of these things, because the combination of a completely unfounded, self-righteous attitude and a seeming lack of repect for others negates any potential she might have. Grow up, Mandy.

lots of work but there is also lots of learning to be had. Mandy is a great resourse. She's had tones of training in practly everything at NSAD (best school in eastern canada). She gives helpful advice and you can really learn a lot of you push yourself conceptually and visually for her projects. :-)

A LOT of work. You learn in class, but individual meetings with Mandy are the way to go - you get so many more ideas. Takes a long time to mark, but comments can be helpful. Has a major hate on for some people though - there is a difference between critique & attacking someone. Do you work, fulfill assignment requirements, & stay on her good side.

Mandy is a good instructor. For the people whining about her "destructive criticism", if you want to be a designer or have any career in an artistic field you're going to have to get used to people telling you your work is crap. You're an adult now, she's just trying to treat you like one.

Classes are A LOT of work. Takes her a long time to mark, but her comments are always helpful. Willing to schedule consultation time outside of class. Will give extensions if you have a good reason. Seems to play favorites though (to an extent). I didn't find her as bad as everyone is saying - I feel I learned some valuable stuff in her classes.

Doesn't relate well to people.Class seems to be designed to weed people out.Design focus is not well presentated or elaborated.I would be scared what this class would do to a talented designer later in life.No wisdom here people fight to stay in program only.
