Had Dr. Beckett a few summers ago. 1st class I enrolled in after 4 years off due to personal problems... couldn't have had a more perfect prof to return with. So caring (students and world), kind, understanding. Few essays and quizzes. Not difficult and she is so clear in direction. Simple grader, wants you to succeed and inspires you to do better.

I am currently in my last week of her SHORT TERM ONLINE class and will be passing with a B. Around two discussions every week, four essays, four bibliography papers and three quizzes. The only book you need is Remix. Straight forward assignments and due dates. Great communication, easy grader, caring professor. Highly recommended!

I took this class online, during the Fall 2016 and it was an absolute nightmare!!! Be prepared to submit 29 discussion questions (1-3 discussions per week and minimum of 75 words per response), 7 essay papers (minimum of 1200 words), and bibliography paper. She is a tough grader, rude, and don't expect any help. I DON'T RECOMMEND HER!!!

Took her short term course & it was a lot of work in a couple weeks. Quizzes are straight forward- reading the essays is mandatory to pass. No long lectures. Essay almost every week. Deadlines for essay came quick, but she gave us extensions. A lot of work but easy grader. If you do your work you will have no problem passing. Highly recommended!

AMAZING teacher! She is one of the few professors that still has a zest and passion to teach. Read the assignments, do the homework, and show up for the in class essays and you'll do well. Too bad she doesn't teach 102 or 103.
