Comment:

Loved her! She went over concepts slowly and thoroughly. Always made sure the students were following and always stopped for any question and explained it fully. Her tests were proctored, and students were allowed one page of notes. There was a lot of homework, but if you keep up with the class it isn't that hard. I would highly recommend her!

Comment:

I really liked this class and learned alot (and I do not normally like math at all!). Margaret was kind, knowledgeable, responsive, and overall a great math teacher. Use the practice exams and try to keep up with the homework and ask questions.

I took this class at URock through ITV. Mostly just watching online and doing work. I thought she did a very good job explaining and showing each problem step by step. And was enthusiastic about what she was teaching. She made the class fun for me. I did very well in this class.

I had her for MAT 115 (Elementary Statistics). She knew what she was talking about, but she had a very hard time explaining herself. She would always show you the hard way of doing something, before telling you that you would never have to do it that way. Overall, I would recommend finding a different professor.

She's a very pleasant prof. and encourages questions if you are unsure. She has no trouble with 'falling behind' on the syllabus if she thinks the class needs the time on a particular chapter. She explains things very well and is reasonable in her exams. She teaches you tricks and shortcuts to get to the answer, encourages them.

I do not feel that my classes were profitable or worth attending. She assumed that everyone had previously done this work before and that this was a refresher course. I would NOT recommend this course to anyone, it was a waste of time and money. Yeah i got a credit, but i felt it was a waste, i could have paid someone off the street to teach me.

Professor Patterson is a very good teacher. She explains things clearly and is willing to help you if you don't understand the material. The class itself is very difficult if math is not your thing but if you do your homework and ask for help when needed you should pass the class.

This Professor is very passionate about Math. Her teaching style insists that the student has "done their homework." If the student is not serious they will fail. Her tests are clear, well balanced, and consist of material reviewed in class. Attendance in the class is very important. Maragret is very clear in what she expects from her students
