AVOID AT ALL COSTS. Not the worst lecturer but as for assignments and marking, you will regret any course you take with her. Save yourself $600 n instead of dropping course after you've started. It was only after a midterm students in our started talking and realized the majority of us failed the midterm. A prof that's in it for the wrong reasons.

Comment:

Prof. Steffler made difficult feminist texts accessible, especially to me (a person with little background in this discipline). Engaged effectively with her students, and was clear about grading criteria. Lots of books to read, but it's worth it come exam time - what is important in the lecture is also important on the midterm and the final.

SUCH a good prof!! Very warm and straight-forward, she took time to get to know her students, even though it was a big class. She gave helpful criticism and laughed obligingly at all my jokes.

Really love this professor. She is very interested in having every student succeed. Margaret is kind and considerate, but make sure you do the readings. It's funny to watch her call on someone who didn't the text. My biggest mistake is waiting till my 3rd year before taking one of her classes

Margaret has a warm and inviting spirit. She is so so amazing, and inspires with a genuine demeanor. She cares and it shows. I highly esteem her-- she is worthy of all praise and respect. (She makes the BEST oatmeal cookies)
