I took this class in the summer so it was condensed which I think made it harder but I did the work and came to every class so I passed with a smile on my face. She is a helpful teacher, but she enjoys students who participate and want to be in the class. Show up to class that is 10% of your grade and just do the work, Make an effort.

Seemed like every class period was time to be gotten out of the way. She really didn't teach anything, just gave assignments. It was extremely hard to get any feedback from her, positive or negative. She is a major stickler for MLA format- it has to be PERFECT or she often won't accept it at all. I recommend avoiding this teacher.

Worst teacher I have ever had. Terrible! Reading the other reviews was the most enjoyable thing I have done in months, because I can relate to EVERY negative comment made.. Other than the past few minutes of laughter, I have HATED everything about her.

OMG i hated her class! she seemed kinda nice and helpful at first but then turned out to tbe the rudest most unhelpful teacher ever. she cant even answer your questions and DOES NOT have email so shes really hard to get a hold of. I love english but she made me despise it something i never thought possible!

She has a raging hard-on for Thoreau, she's a very opinionated liberal feminazi and her grading system is totally biased. Kiss her ass and you'll pass, honestly. Final research paper is a beast and takes a lot of work, but I passed both the midterm and final without even reading the book. I'd avoid her if possible.

Wingrove's one of those teachers who can go either way. Make sure not to get on her bad side, or she'll be unhelpful to you. Double-check your formatting before you turn anything in. She's a stickler for that stuff. Make sure you do creative writing for extra credit in your journal; she'll adore you for it. Good luck!

I doubt she even reads the essays that you turn in. Everyone returned seemed to have the same comments. She lost two essays that i turned in and apparently didnt even have any affect on grade. She made me really hate writing because when i tried my hardest she doesnt give any negative or positive feedback. Doesnt teach, just gives assignments.

Her class is so boring. She is 13 minutes late just enough for us to think that class will be canceled and then show up. Follow her directions completely. All we focus on is the thesis and Walden never taught about the book though. wants you to buy 5 books only really use 2. She cant count and she cant hear.

Wingrove is strict. She belongs in a university, not at a community college, because many students just don't take these classes seriously! I had the highest grade in the class because I READ the books and did well on the writings. She is pretty curt with the immature kids straight out of HS. This class involves A LOT of writing. Know how to properly cite references. You MUST complete EVERY assignment to pass the class! She can be very condescending and completely clueless at times. DON"T TAKE HER CLASS!!! She is a miserable woman, who is crully rude to many students while teaching nothing. A good example is that she teaches texts that students have worked with in high school, so that she doesnt truly have to teach. And yes, she is very aware that students have already studied the text. Soooooooo glad the semester is over!
