It's evident that Maria genuinely cares about her students, both in terms of their growth in her class and their well-being outside of class. Incredible teacher, all assignments worthwhile. She makes class a fun, comfortable working environment. She'll even go support you outside of class at extracurricular events. She is truly the best.

Maria was super sweet and very helpful. She is very funny and is fun to have as a teacher. She really cares about her students understanding Spanish and is very patient. The book was expensive but so worth it.

She's a funny lady, but I don't like her as a professor. Gives lots of busy work and lectures are pointless. I didn't learn much about the topic (immigration) and I wish there was more structure. Also, the workload was much more intense than other 300 level classes I've taken with her, especially since we have to pass everything in twice

Hilarious and caring. Sometimes not the clearest but she almost more than willing to spend more time on something you don't understand. Show up to class or she'll start bumping your grade down, but you'll never be bored in her class anyway.

Shes an awesome person, but not such a great teacher in the upper level classes. She treated us like we were a 100 level class and we all we did was review and do worksheets. I hate to say this since she's such a nice lady, but this class is a waste of time if you actually know spanish.

She's a great person and I always loved going to class. She really cares about her students. That being said, she gives tons of busy work which was overly simple and a lot of the material we covered in class (it was a topics class) was very repetitive.

Very sweet lady. It is one of the best classes I have taken so far. Attendance is required, but I never find going to this class to be either boring or unworthy. She is also a knowledgeable teacher, and cares a lot about the quality of education that her students are getting. I recommend this teacher if you're signing up for any Spanish classes.
