Very sweet as a person; but not a great prof in my opinion. She's knowledgeable and likable but not relaxed and friendly. Not very helpful and her voice is kinda annoying. Her accent, actually is a little hard to understand because she is Romanian, which is pretty annoying.

I've had Ionescu for 4 years now, and she's by far the best prof I've ever had. She cares about each student individually, is very willing to help whenever, and if you do all the work she assigns, you will succeed in her classes.

Dr. Ionescu is the ideal university prof. You will NOT need a pillow in her class (you may just need to sign up for a more advanced class), and her French is NOT thickly accented because.... she is a native French speaker. So if you can't understand what she's saying, it's probably because you need to LEARN French, or you speak Quebecoise. hahaha
