Her quizzes were horrible and the final exam was very hard. Discussion board posts are competitive. Lots of work-- but sure learned a lot!

Most of the time she seems bored of the content and her students mirror that lack of enthusiasm. She has subconscious control issues and can be passive aggressive if you don't pay attention to her dry lectures. The classes are almost two hours and the best part is leaving them

I am taking her for a 1 credit research assistant for 394. Tough as shes about a month behind on grading. The class feels way more extensive than it really is. It's like a grad level course. or a capstone class. It consists of writing weekly annotated bibs... which are pages long because she wants detail. Final is a theoretical experiment you make.

Wonderful woman. The class itself requires attendance to pass well, but professor McGrath helps to make the course understandable and helps you retain the information.

Lectures seem like a life time and are sometimes boring. She can be funny at times and uses great examples to explain things. I had the mix-mode class so the online portion is just a BB post on a term in the book. Tests are extremely tough and they are timed tests online. Read and take a butt load of notes. Attendance is 20 pts so don't skip.

Very wonderful instructor. BB post every week, 20 pts for class attendance (so don't skip) quiz questions are from in class, so take notes as well! Very kind and helpful, keeps students interacted. Uses very nice examples, asks class for examples. Grades quickly! Questions from book as well! Clear cut & to the point. Offers extra credit!

I took this professor last semester for PSY 319, not only did her tests cause the entire class to work for hours on writing her paragraphs, we also had a lot of long and hard papers, she was never clear on what she wanted, and even though it was the hardest class I have taken in my entire life I felt like she taught me nothing.

WOW is all i have to say... It was a four credit class that should have been worth 12. She was very demanding and expected a lot out of her students. Be prepared to work!

An excellent prof! If you are serious about succeeding in this field, she is the prof to take. You LEARN the material, are given the tools to think critically and analytically, will help you WHENEVER you need it, and genuinely cares about your future. If you want an easy A don't take her class - and you probably shouldn't be in college either.

I received an A in this course, however you must do the work. Tests are tough. Pay attention in class and read the text. Be sure to attend lectures. You do LEARN things but her sense of humor is dry so you might have a hard time concentrating all the time. Don't miss class either.

She just wants people to show up, do readings, and pay attention. I found her to be hilarious and extremely helpful if you email her with any questions. Her class was difficult, regarding the course material, but she managed to make her lectures fun and memorable. Don't take her if you want an easy A, but if you want to learn, she is wonderful.

Hardest glass I have ever taken. Her grading is insane you will never receive any feedback. not once did we get an assignment back to see what we got wrong. she picks favorites and grades according to that. ITS LIKE BEING IN A CONCENTRATION CAMP waiting to be gassed. best of luck in this class. if you have a job good luck being able to work....

She is my advisor, in honors, she only gets the best students, those who are not, usually do not bother coming into the classroom, only the best for Dr. M. UM Psychology Dept has very high standards in spite of losing several profs as Phillips, Douglas, Freedman, Fitzgerald, etc. Also, they had the departmental move this semester, limited time.

Dr. M is an extremely helpful lady! As long as you pay attention to her directions for the class, you will do well. She is quick to respond to emails and has a great sense of humor. Best psychology professor at umflint hands down!

Did not use a textbook. This class focuses on writing skill. Show you take the field and the class seriously and try your best, as this is what she's looking for. She grades hard, but you earn every bit of what you get. She had a tutor but is also very helpful and wants you to succeed. I loved her sense of humor.
