Good professor although her lectures are sometimes scattered all over the place. Does not follow the textbook and if you want to pass you need to attend tutorials (hopefully you get a good tutorial leader). She does not post anything online so if you miss lecture you won't get the 10-30 pages of notes you'll need per lecture.

Loved her! I did great in the class with minimal effort, just make sure to attend tutorials because that's where all the concepts are demonstrated! She is also hilarious, her dancing and dressing up make the class a lot less dry! I miss being in her class!!

The lecture is extremely boring, she reads directly from the slides so if you can get ahold of the slides like I did then don't bother going. She is not helpful at all. The content of the class was outdated. She was always late to lecture and always changing her office hours so it was confusing to know when her office hours are. Use the workbook!!!

Overrated as a Professor. Multiple Choice is usually the hardest part about the course but Tutorials are good even though the TA's are basically doing the same problems from the workbook. The workbook helps a lot but it would be nice to have more problems to look at. Lectures are really not interesting.

Comment:

One of the worst courses I have ever taken and so many irrelevant formulas that can be done on a simple computer. An economics course should develop theories on how to apply the teachings in the real world. Being someone who works in a corp, there are simple concepts used in this course, but in way simpler terms. Change this course, its a joke

Comment:

She's honestly one of the sweetest ladies you'll ever meet. Tests aren't hard if you work for it and she's always available for extra help. Going to class isn't necessary (Ive gone to maybe 8 classes and have gotten 90's) but it is helpful because she does tell you what will be on the midterm. Best of luck!

Good prof. Easy tests. No need to go to class, gimme to many accounting students. Ive gone perhaps three times and pull mid 90's. Use the texbook tho... Seriously worth the money, oh yeah workbook know that in and out

Professor Cottrell is the best! She really tries to help students as much as she can. Will go out of her way to help! Never feel shy to stop by her office because you'll likely leave with a smile.... she gives candy!

Her lectures were absolutely useless. I taught myself the entire course using the textbook. Her multiple choice questions can be difficult and misleading but if you put the time into understanding the material you should do alright.

Useless professor. Unclear instructions and very misleading in regards to questions on midterms and exams. Appears to be friendly and laid back, but over time she turns out to be moody and lazy. Midterms and exams are filled with typos, misleading language, and information not taught in class. Literally reads of her a USELESS power points.

Very very nice. This being said, lectures were disorganized and a waste of time. Very very confusing as she dives right in expecting you already know the information. Uses terms that you won't know without reading the textbook ahead and doesnt give you set formulas. Does irrelevant examples that confuse you. Advice: Learn course online use workbook

Some of her lectures were somewhat disorganized but she was easily the most caring and helpful professor in the department. She knows how to deal with troublesome students (sleeping/listening to music in class) and that makes her even better. If you actually care you will do very well. She rocks.
