Not a very helpful lady. Class is very dry and boring and she follows her own powerpoint handouts with an old-school overhead projector. The textbook has a lot of typos.

She wrote her own textbook. It is a good book. Read it for clarification. When I took her in Fall 2011, she was very forgetful. She comes off like a grumpy old lady, but she is willing to answer any questions students have. It is tough to understand her sometimes.

Professor Sobel is very bright in her field, but sometimes falls short of conveying her expertise. She is also very stubborn in her ways and you have to be very tactful when approaching her. If she likes you are you lucky. If you are a SigEp wear your jersey.
