I loved Dr. Cartiglia. He is by far one of the best professors I have had. Although the subject is difficult, he breaks things down in a way that makes it easy to understand. He is very easy going and flexible. His exams are challenging, but he provides study guides that are very helpful. He is the cutest person ever!

This was a really fun class and professor! He always made corny dad jokes and laughed at them. He liked to incorporate funny videos at the beginning of class. He would have pop quizzes to check for attendance, but if you take the quiz, you get 100%. The exams were pretty straightforward and so was the paper, which he provided a sample for.

I really liked this class because Dr. Cartiglia made lectures really interested and gave many examples so you could understand the concepts. You'll print out lecture slides and have him explain the subjects further. Mostly classwork. You don't HAVE to read but reading is helpful to understand that topics :)

Dr. Cartiglia is so bubbly and tries to make the concepts relatable and entertaining. He takes attendance sometimes depending on whether he passes out an assignment. 2 midterms, 1 final which isn't cumulative. Quizzes are in class and you get full credit as long as you attend. Take him!!

Professor Cartiglia is hilarious, his lectures are traditional by using power point. Attendence are mandatory in order to get a good grade. Reading textbook can be helpful, but I don't. The tests are hard but it is not difficult to get a B if you review the materials before the test. Only 3 test through the semester. You can learn a lot in class.

He is such a great teacher! Powerpoint's were long, but he lightens the mood with his corny jokes. There were 3 exams and everything on them were from the powerpoint's, which you also print out yourselves and fill in the blank during the lecture. Quizzes and exercises are easy. I also had 1 research paper. If you study the slides you should pass.

Nice professor but his teaching style may be a little hard to understand. Some of the lectures he gives are a little unclear so using the textbook is a must. Both his TA and himself are pretty tough graders on the homework, and exams, but he is open to giving you points if you explain why. Overall, he cares about your grades and is willing to help

straight forward class, go to class, take notes (just slides you have to print out and fill in the blanks) A lot of vocab. The tests are multiple choice and go over vocab and examples of the vocab. Most of your grade is the 5(or so) exams and one (super easy) "paper". some activities. and the quizzes he gives u the answers before u turn them in.

It's not so much that the professor was a tough grader, rather that the class is quite dense. Dr. Cartiglia is a great professor who wants you to learn but is a very fair grader. I took this class during summer break over 5 weeks and it was a LOT of information, but he did an awesome job making sure we knew the material. Highly recommend him!

V easy, get the essay done b4 hand and get him to overlook it bc he gives good feedback. SHOW UP TO CLASS, took pp notes & its essential to get info for test. u don't really need textbook, if anything get the Levy one. TAKE HIM!!!

Dr. C. is one of my favorite professors at CSUF. I've had him a couple of times. His tests are tough but fair. Also, he cares about his students and he's hilarious! PowerPoint lectures are clear and helpful. Also, he gives points for just showing up (e.g., taking quizzes). Highly recommended!

I felt this class is relatively easy. He covers most of the material for the exams during lectures, though there may be some stuff you need to study on your own, but it is just small amount. Make sure to learn all key concepts and apply them to real life. He is funny, too.

Be ready, this class seems easy from the eye, but I worked hard for a B, and I usually get As. Take good notes and show up to class. You don't really need to buy the book, his tests are pretty much all lectures. Composed of 3 tests and I think like 7 quizzes for participation, the tests are non cumulative. One term paper that is easy. I recommend

Super awesome prof. This class has A LOT of information, so it is hard and tedious but doable. Three tests - first one is the hardest so STUDY!! One super easy paper. 6 easy HW assignments, and there is lots of extra credit. If you're going to 461, take it with him! Really funny too, and he cares that you pass!

The material in this class is not difficult to understand but there is A LOT of material to learn, so you need to study ahead of time for the three exams. Final is not cumulative. One paper and extra credit that can raise your grade. Study guides are helpful, pretty much know his entire lecture. Exams have detailed questions.

This is the second time I've had this professor. Absolutely love him. The class can be quite challenging, but he honestly made me love the material when I went in dreading it. I enjoyed going to class. Tests are hard, but passable. Gives 20 points of extra cred opportunity. Important to come to class to get powerpoint info, but no roll taken.
