He lectures for a portion of the class and while it's encouraged to listen, he won't care if you choose to work on your assignments during it. Usually on the day an assignment is due, he'll pull it up on the screens and allow the students to take pictures. You get a second try to submit assignments you didn't get full credit on.

One of the worst CS professors at this school. I made an easy A and barely tried in one of the most advanced courses you should ever have to take in your undergrad Computer Science career. For anyone that wants to go on to graduate school, teach yourself operating systems. He will not teach you.

He is extremely helpful and understands that if may be your first time dealing with C++. If you need help just ask! Missing class does count against you but he is not strict about being on time. Easy A if you need it. Just make sure you do all the labs!
