Great prof. Class is graded entirely by 4-5 projects, no exams! As long as the project works you get an easy 100. The projects are interesting and challenging but not too difficult and you can end up with a 100% in this class without much work. Projects are mostly java. I would recommend knowing how to make java user interfaces before taking this

Easy going professor, show up to class 9 times and you pass. He just sends around a sign-in sheet that you sign and then you can leave... at least that's what i did. Passed with a 100% A.

His powerpoints are the reason why I was able to do all the homeworks and learn everything that I did. His programs are very useful and interesting. Would take him over anyone.

This is a heavily project based class. There are no exams or quizzes, just projects that test your knowledge on the topics discussed. Took the professor for three classes and enjoyed all of them.

No tests, all easy assignments. He's very insightful and his lectures are very informative if you ask a lot of questions. He gives great, practical, IT advice often. I wish he pushed his students a little harder, but if you have the initiative to push yourself, he's a great professor for helping you do that.

This is my third class with this professor and he gives the best notes. I legit only went to two classes and I have an A in the class. His notes make it easier to do the projects. There are 5 individual projects in the semester that are fairly challenging but you have plenty of time to figure them out. No exams or other assignments. He is the best!

Took him this summer, there aren't test just projects, and if you attend class or read the slides you should be able to figure the assignments out.

Dr. Llewellyn is an awesome professor, but his lectures are boring. I have taken him for three classes and he is very helpful. He doesn't believe in giving tests and only gives a few programs, which you could solve just by going through his examples. Take him if you get the chance.

Best professor at UCF. Shows up every day ready to teach the material. A lot of people skip out on his class but it's they who will work for me when all is said and done. Show up, his material is well worth the time YOU pay for.

He doesn't take attendance and there are no exams. All of your grades come from projects. The first one is a somewhat difficult Excel cost sheet but after that you either do very simple tasks on a virtual machine (like setting up a virtual network) and take screenshots or write basic scripts. He's pretty generous with bumping back due dates too.

No exams or attendance; your grade is based on 5 programming assignments throughout the semester. His programs are simple in concept but can be tricky if you don't know specific things in Java (like GUIs or mySQL). Luckily he gives A LOT of sample code, you can usually reverse engineer the solution from that. He tends to push back due dates too.

I took him for Systems Administration over the summer. No tests and attendance is not required. The first assignment was the most difficult and worth the most of the entire semester, after that the class is pretty much an easy A as long as you follow his instructions. Would take again.

He's the best! I took System Administration & Maintenance as a transient student at UCF. (FIU is my home institution) He saved my semester! Best professor ever! Shame he is not teaching at FIU because we need more professors like him. UCF is lucky to have him.

Half our class ditched out during the semester because attendance was not mandatory. But I showed up to every class. He makes them interesting by applying real world scenarios to the material. FINALLY a class useful for my future. Project based class, so no tests which was nice. The projects took some time if you didn't know what to do. FUN CLAS

Course grade based on five 100 point Java assignments. Llewelyn is a great teacher I'm sure, though I barely attended class. All lectures posted online, assignments every 2-3 weeks, depending on difficulty. Most of them were extended from students waiting until last minute and complaining. Attendance not necessary unless you need help.

A practical class where the assignments actually teach important computer enterprising skills. No tests because Prof Llewellyn believes you learn more from doing than regurgitating facts, and he's right. His notes are stellar. One of the best professors at UCF.

Although I barely went to class due to my work schedule, his notes were so clear and concise that I could teach myself everything. Definitely gained a greater understanding of Web based languages (HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript) and never got below a 96 on hw. NO EXAM, ONLY HW which worked perfectly for my schedule. Extremely helpful during office hours!!
