crappiest prof i have had. not everyone has access to i-net, prof assumes we are all literate. gives piles of reading and then screws your chance of a good mark with a stupid 50 question true or false QUIZ in detail that no human could be expected to remember. and his "participtn" requirmt allows morons to suck up class time with their dumb remarks

Excellent professor. Provided some very helpful insights into my writing style and helped clear up some technical issues. Also has a great sense of humour and a gift for pulling debate out of people. Probably had more of an impact on me than any other first year professor. His class made me a better student.

Enthusiastic and effective lecturer; really makes his students think. Can be a bit abrupt sometimes and unsympathetic/inflexible to students' particular needs or learning styles.

I found this class easy, and a bit dull. We ended up watching TV and films more than anything - could have used more discussion and literary criticism. He’s a fan of Strindberg and Becket â€" and I am not. This was an easy 6 credit hours in English. He's since moved on to University of Guelph.

Whoops, I just wrote that Morton is the worst prof I ever had! I actually meant to type that in for Mavis Reimer. I typed my comments out in my word processor, and then cut and pasted the wrong one! Anyway, what I meant to write was that Morton is great. He's a wonderful teacher, and a nice guy.

Worst prof ever had! Tries too hard to be unique. Doesn't like it when students don't write a paper the way he would have writen it.

Really interesting classes and great use of texts from Shakespeare's time that I had never heard of before. He wants his students to be curious and encourages independent thinking. He's got a great memory, too, and thinks on his feet very well. Best of all, he's totally enthusiastic.

some interesting classes but one is left wondering whether bill s really has anything unique to say. prof morton seems very nice and is an inclusive speaker. the problem is that that all things should be included.

I've taken a few courses taught by Mark and I've loved them all. Very laid back guy who knows his stuff. You really can't go wrong in his classes. Anything you say can be related to the material. He's very open to discussion and embraces everyone's different point of views.

Awesome teacher. I love the fact that he posts our texts and assignments on his website. He obviously understands that students don't have millions of dollars to spend on texts. Everything is easily accessible and he pushes us to discover our own opinions about the topics. Great class.
