His tests are nothing like the homework. You have 2 tests and 10 homework assignments. Plus 2 other 50 point assignments. You only get one chance on the homework and the grade you get is the grade you get. He isn't the best at communication but does reply. It's hard to get a good grade in this class..

I feel as though these last two comments are from the prof himself. Sersly sounds nothing like him. I've taken him for 4 years to get my degree. His study material is nothing close to what you will be tested on. Gives massive amounts of info and test you on very little of the actual material. Could be alot more clear in material and sucks at respon

Comment:

Dr. Swanstrom is an excellent professor. He teaches the material in the textbook, but also provides many other resources such as outlines, PPTs, and webpages to aid in study. He is lenient on due dates if an emergency arises, and is quick to reach via email. He has never acted like helping me was a chore. Feel confident in taking his courses.

Dr. Swanstrom was extremely helpful. He articulated ideas well in class and helped me outside of class. He acted as a secondary advisor for me and I could not have completed my Scholars’ thesis without his help.

THIS CLASS WASN'T AS HARD AS SOME PEOPLE SAY. I HAD A B FOR MIDTERM AND AN A FOR FINAL GRADE. MAKE SURE YOU DO YOUR HOMEWORK. MOST OF THE TEST QUESTIONS COME FROM HOMEWORK, ABOUT 10% FROM BOOK BUT YOU CAN FIND THE ANSWERS ONLINE!!!!! JUST THINK ABOUT IT! BOOK REPORT WAS HARD, BUT HE ALLOWED YOU TO PICK SOMETHING DEALING WITH ECON SO MAKE IT SIMPLE.

Teacher doesn't teach at all. Just just goes on and on about who knows what. Had open book tests but they were still kind of hard. The class average is not very high. Requires a 6 page research paper that he takes FOREVER to grade. Doesn't seem like he even likes teaching.
