This Professor is very goofy. He is not the best professor, but I wouldn't say he is the worst. He teaches off of powerpoints and often goes off on tangents about information that will not be on the exam. Attendance is 25% so you have to go(If you care about that). I received a 3.5 and I put in minimal work. Definitely manageable but boring course

This man does not know how to teach. His lectures are unorganized and unclear and often cover copious amounts of material not on the exams. He also, despite being a biology teacher, feels it necessary to share that he finds science to be not much of a better tool for explaining life than religion. And he fits in talk of STDs wherever he can.

horrible teacher his material is all random and he told us that it is nearly impossible to get 90% on all 3 tests and do the extra credit he got pissed at the class for getting 82% class average on his second test and someone said do you want us to fail and he said thats not the point i would never take another class with him

He is so arrogant it?s ridiculous. He makes it so that you don?t want to learn b/c you dont want to listen to him. He was so bad I felt obligated to warn students not to take him. I got a 4.0 n the class,I wouldn?t take it over again. I would have rather had a different professor and gotten a 2.0 then go through that living nightmare again! DONT!

Whalon is a mediocre teacher, and has no business calling himself a scientist. He openly admits that he believes science to be no better than any other form of "knowledge", including religion and TAROT CARD READINGS!! I don't know where MSU dug up this guy! Also, he doesn't seem to believe in evolution! He's a biology professor!! AAAAAAAAAHHHHHHH!!

yeah. he tries to claim that he saved your life, multiple times. he obviously knows a lot about bio, and thinks he's the worlds greatest teacher because of it. that having been said, hes a good guy, and fair. and that whole 2.5 thing...not true. i got a 4.0.
