She gives you the textbook for free which is good. BUT the textbook has a lot of useless fluff in it and the exams are based on it. The problem is you don't know what the useless fluff is until you're getting stuff wrong on the exams. If you want anything more than a C you have to do book reports which sucks. Passable course but didn't enjoy it

The course is only based on the grades of your tests, and an optional book report for an A at the end. She has her own written textbook online which was awfully written. Don't ask for help because you probably won't get it. Doesn't care about her students, and on top of that is incredibly rude. Don't recommend taking.

Took this class as a summer distance learning course. Textbook is provided but has many errors and is hard to follow. 5 tests - 30 questions each. Each covers a ridiculous amount of information crammed into each unit. To get an A, you not only have to have enough test points to earn an A, you have to write an "optional" book report.

I took two courses with Dr. Rebhorn. She is very thorough and passionate about her subjects. She teaches University level courses to community college students with the respect that the information you get from her courses is equal. She wrote her own textbook which is online - Easy to read, zero expense, and all the test information is there.

I read previous reviews people gave this professor. She isn't rude and she does answer email very promptly so no need to see her in office hours. Her textbook has multiple errors although it is free. Test questions are VERY specific so read carefully. She is nice to you as long as you read her online syllabus carefully. An okay teacher.

She wrote her own textbook that jumps around a lot. The tests are based on the readings. 4 tests from the textbook and 1 map test make up your grade. BE PREPARED TO STUDY STUDY STUDY and make sure history is an easy subject for you.

Easy class. I never had to read any section of the textbook more than once. Just paste her course objectives into a word doc and take notes as you read. Then just review the doc for a couple days. Once you can read the objective and recall your answer, you are ready for the test. Read a book relevant to course material and do a report on it for A.

Dr. Rebhorn is a gem. I haven't met a history professor who seems more interested in history than her. She can come off as a bit distant, but if you pry her to get what you want, she'll respect you for it. Think tough love, not spoonful of sugar. Her lectures are thoroughly enjoyable, although her grading is tough. But she's fair, if nothing else.

Professor Rebhorn provided all needed material for the course and it was easily accessible on the ACC website. However, If I was ever confused about somethingneeded help she preferred email contact. I tried to contact her very few times and each time I received a short answer and seemingly rude remarks. She was NOT helpful and not nice!

She's an okay professor. If you need to save money, take her class. She gives you a free textbook. She takes forever to enter grades though. I wouldn't recommend her, but she's not horrible. She's okay. She offers extra credit. I'd give her an 85 if I were grading her performance.

Dr. Rebhorn was very clear with her expectations and deadlines. Follow the online course syllabus, do the readings, take tests on time, and you will pass. She responds to emails promptly. The most common test question was: "All of the following are true EXCEPT..." Course is self paced and great for a busy schedule. I wish she also taught HIST1301.

Took this online. If you use her outline and take notes on it while reading the text the tests are easy. Yes, they have a lot of "all except" questions but that only shows if you really know the material. The book report is either accepted or not. Read the book and follow the instructions for writing the report and you will get an accepted.

strange wording for her questions on the test.I don't mind " all except" ones but she didnt word her questions right and I asked about a few, she blew me off of course. I liked that there wasnt a lot of extra work but her weird tests and then the way she counts the points to get your grade is kind of messed up. shouldve gotten a B but got a C

This was one of the greatest professors I've ever had. Seriously people, do NOT listen to anyone who says this was such a difficult class and she makes it impossible to pass. She actually does everything in order to make sure you get the grade you deserve. I showed up to class, studied, and made an A.

This class was easy. Read the book, choose a separate book for a book report, and take exams. Her textbook does indeed have grammatical errors, as mentioned below. The subject matter turned out to be much more interesting than I expected, and since she wrote the text, it feels more like she's just talking to you. Good class, overall.

Students stating that there are errors in the textbook which she authored are correct. Her book is full of unsupported OPINION and not actual facts. She is not the least bit flexible and will argue a non-truth and refuse to acknowledge any opinion other than her own. Question EVERYTHING, but better yet, run like the wind to another prof.
